Another first grow

I have:
2x2.5x5.1 grow tent
3 gallon smart pot
250W T1-2100 Tasty COB LED
Desk Fan for circulation
Passive air intake / outlet

Just popped a med gom 1.0 autoflower in hopes I can harvest before xmas.

Planted directly into fox farm sea and mix of maybe 20% perlite.
Soil tests at 6.5ph, distilled water at 6.5ph (ish)
Temp has been 72-77 (air) 69-73 (soil)
Humidity is around 60-65%

So I have a few questions I was hoping someone could help me with. 1) How close should this light be assuming I do get a seed to sprout? I don't want to burn it if it happens overnight or something. 2) I have the smart pot sitting on a drainage plate, if I feel under the pot it seems fairly wet but if I put my finger about an inch into the soil it's just barely moist, do I need to poke drainage holes in it?

Thanks!

12-24 inches is basic standard for LEDs with no label. some people shine them further away but most people that shine them any closer burn their plants pretty quickly. unless its a low watt panel... some people have let the plants touch the face of the panel which blows my mind.. but whatever...

Thanks, even for seedlings though?

try 24" for now

i have my peyote seedlings under 187w actual. theyre around 24" from the light and HATE alot of light. theyll quickly purple and crust from light during the first month or so.

that being said cannabis like light! so if you start 24" away from a 250w (is this the actual?) then theyll grow into it and you'll be a happy grower

So it looks like the actual would be 90W?

It wasn't the plan. I'm just limited to about 70 days from now till I go on holiday. I'm pushing it anyways because I need a few days of drying. My next grow will be standard with LST / Scrog/ which is really what this setup is intended for.

It won`t be done in 70 days and if it is done that fast it`ll be a 10g plant max

With autos you pop 5 to 100 and select the best one to grow on, plant them in a long bed and keep the big one in there

I do that outside from 10 to 30 beans of an auto indica you`ll find 2 to 10 that`ll grow 5 to 10ft and yield nice the rest normally stay small

I use autos outside for the summer time where I am as we get 14 to 16 hour days so not much will flower unless you can cover/uncover them
