another "is it ready?" thread w/ pics.

these are "ice" seeds that started out as being moms, but i decided to bloom them instead. they're about two inches shy of 4ft tall and on the 47th day of bloom. i dont think i got all the same seeds, because one of the plants is purple.

do they look ready? how much longer do y'all think?

they're under 400watt hps, in a vermiculite/perlite/peatmoss soil mix, general hydroponic's maxigrow/bloom ferts. they were in veg for almost 2 months. i wanted to keep em as moms for clones, but they were getting overgrown so i budded them.

im going to be out of town for the weekend. i would really like to harvest when i get back!

i think it would work out for the best to do it when i get back. i heard you're suppose to not water them for a few days before you harvest? im hoping no water during the weekend will be sufficient.

i dont think so at all. looks like at least 10-14 days left. look at all those white hairs and new growth. i bet those buds nearly double in 2 wks.

and 10 seeds of the same strain can produce 10 distinctly different pot plants so you probably have ice plants of different phenotypes.

Im going to agree with slikwillie you still a week or so to go but remember to factor in your flushing process too. The plants look awesome but dont cut just yet they arent ready but very close.

the last few weeks are the most explosive growth-wise. im sure i cant talk you out of flushing as most argue to the death that its necessary. but try only flushing for a week or even less(i dont flush at all, i just feed light the last week). depriving the plant of food when its bulking up is counterproductive IMO.

phenotypes - yeah, they say when you get a 10pk of beans you should grow and flower all 10 to pick the one you desire the most. its like when two people have 10 children...all ten rarely turn out looking the same or being the same size do they?

thats also why casual breeding programs arent sucessful. to effictively breed marijuana you need to grow hundreds of plants to select your 2 parents. then repeat the process a dozen of so times to get what your after.

Bro the phenotypes are like the charcteristics of a plant usually they consist of like: Tall, short, bushy, not so bushy, 1 smells like orange, 1 smells like berrys, catch my drift lol. Its all good your going to be learning much more than basics here on rollitup. Need help just ask

i know postcount and reputation is far from everything, but please notice that everyone saying chop now is brand new with no documented grows of thier own. me and haze have been at this awhile and both have the documentation to prove it. youve got at least a week till harvest time, i really think 2 weeks.

gimmie a few minutes...i have plants 1, 2, and 3 weeks from harvest ill go take photos of.

i dont want to jack the mans thread or anything, but i used to be a firm believer in the flush. then i tried it and found out its all in a good cure. just feed light the last week(like 700ppm or something).

heres some NLxNYC Diesel with about 1 wk left. pretty much all the hairs are turned, but theres still new growth on all the buds. trichs are still at least 50% clear as well.
