another referendum on obamacare: obamacare wins YET AGAIN

It seemed to be a complaint. Instead you were saying it was cheap?
$300 for stitches. Yes. And by the way, I highly recommend dune surfing... more fun than sex with a bowl of wet noodles.

In the US, I would owe $100 for the emergency visit and probably $50 co-pay, and the insurance company would have picked up the slack on the other $3500 the hospital would have charge for the same thing.

Yes, I am saying a social healthcare program [in the long run] is less expensive. But it takes buy in from everyone. Like it did in Brazil.

Well, I'd say you are a world traveler. I used to travel all the time. Then 9/11 happened and now I white knuckle every flight. If it is within 1,200 miles I try to drive instead of fly.

Edit: I absolutely love Costa Rica would move there if my husband's health wasn't so sketchy.
I'm sorry you feel that way, I actually travel more now than I did pre-911. But I understand your position.

Costa Rica is next on my list. I'd love to take a road trip through Central America into South America. But I have a feeling I would need to do it by motorcycle, I would likely get carjacked with my big white SUV. :(

I did a small road trip in Costa Rica. The people are so very friendly and inviting and made me wish I could have stayed longer. The music was great, the food fantastic and it was rather inexpensive.

I was rather startled when I saw the major hospital in San Jose it did not have screens on the windows with the curtain billowing with breeze. It looked like something you'd see in Detroit. I'm not sure that you'd get great medical care, but I believe the standard stuff they are good at.

Don't have a passport. Don't want one. I've been told I'm going to need one for my business. I hate the thought of having to get one.

I would like to visit my Aunt in London, Ont., though. I used to visit her all the time, only needed a birth cert and pic id.

Been more places than you that's for sure.
yeah they have tracking chips embedded in them..and now they are MAKING you get one just to go over the border..what's up with that?

I only follow the state I'm from and the state I live in. Unless it is the Presidential election. Nothing of big importance is in either of those two states this year or at least that I care about. Do you follow them all? Edit: I hope that FLA get the MMJ on the ballot for 2014. I heard they are along way from the necessary signatures.
Thanks for the support! Last I heard, we had 180,000 signatures.

I signed it in MI when I lived there, I'll sign it here too. They can come and visit me I can't grow where I live so for now I'm safe. I do miss it, it was somehow very relaxing being with and taking care of my beautiful buddies. Even my cat enjoyed a nibble here or there. Are you saying yes that you follow all the races. Wow, how do you have the time?
She's apparently unemployed. Frees up a lot of time.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I think you may be completely racist. Referring to urban welfare recipients as rats.
"urban welfare recipients' doesn't imply any particular race. Assuming it did is racist.

You are on an empoyer's plan, right? Those plans won't be much affected by ACA. It is the people who buy their own insurance who are getting screwed. Also, maybe I should remind you that Obama said the average family would see a $2,500 reduction in costs. Where is your $2,500 reduction? Where is mine? My plan went up 7%.
Actually, those plans will be affected in another year. They have been given (illegally, I might add) a pass for a year.

If by use you mean that I called them and added the rider I did it 3 times. Never actually used it. They sell insurance to be used in the USA not in a foreign country so I really appreciated that they would cover costs as long as they knew about it. I assume there might be regions of the world that they would not insure you. Buck would tell you that it is Nazis, not Nazi's.
No, Buck would tell her it was "nazis". He never uses the "shift" key.
