Well now that I got your attention  lol
I'm going to buy a dehumidifier soon the closet that i'm gonna put it in is 5'x5'x8' which is gonna be holding about 9 plants. My question is, do I need to get a big one? I saw some nice small cheap ones on ebay for about $40-50. They store about 2.5-3 pints. The weather dont get real bad this time of year, cold nights followed by a hell of a nice and comfortable day :blsmoke:

And the prize for answearing my question is.........
I'll tell you what i had for Dinner!!! Yes you heard it right my friends a once in a life time chance dont miss out! :hump:

It really depends on what kind of light you put in there. The heat from a HID light will rid the grow room of humidity long before some CFL's will. If you plan on growing with a MH or HPS light, you will need the big one. So what did you have for dinner?

Wait maybe im confused. This guy says hes buying a dehumidifier, right? Then next guy says hps or mh systems will take care of humidity. Then says to get big one with those systems. Ok if a dehumidifier takes humidity from air why in the hell would you put a larger one in mh/hps room. Put smaller one or none in room with larrge hps/mh systems.

He said a HID (High intensity discharge) light will rid the grow room, i'm using a HPS (High preasure sodium) and ML (metal halide). I guess they dont produce enough heat as the HID

JTOTHEI is right. LMAO!! Too many bong hits tonite!! LMAO! I thought it said HUMIDIFIER, not DE-HUMIDIFIER! If you're using the MH & HPS lights you might not need a DEhumidifier at all. What you might need is a HUMIDIFIER for the vegging part of your grow.

yeah or just keep like a pie pan filled with water near base it will evaporate creating a good supply of humidity, or jus spend 20 and get a nice wally world one. make sure it spews cold mist not steam tho

For a closet you can get away with a very small unit(dehumidifier) but you only need one if you have poor or no ventilation-------you don't need a humidifier even in some of the dry-est locations. Good ventilation will assist with the removal of humidity.
