And the nursery around me has been out I might look else where but I'm not sure of anywhere else that sells them

Remember it only works when it's dry. Once it gets wet you need to reapply.

That's what I do I normally powder the plant and pour on surface but maybe I'm not applying as often as I should but I also put corn meal and vinegar.
