Anxiety related to Cannabis - help?

Work your back slowly and gently with heavy indicas, or even high CBD-low THC strains. Sativas and some sativa-leaning strains can cause anxiety in users even if there are no underlying issues such as yours. Get something like Bubba Kush, Blueberry or GDP and start with an amount significantly less than you usually use and see what happens.

What strains are giving you this trouble now?
I agree with the High CBD low THC the sativa strains can cause anxiety. My fiance was the victim of a sexual
assault when she was young and suffers from PTSD. When we visit her home town where the attack occurs
she begins to have panic attacks, so she usually keeps her vaporizer on her for these trips. We stopped by a friend of hers and smoked some heavy stuff(high THC low CBD) and it made her cry and start freaking out. Cannabis won't ultimately fix PTSD but it helps with managing your life. Talking and working thru things and realizing you are safe is the biggest part never live in fear.

We may be going a little too far now. Nobody but a specialist should tell someone who is reporting chest and left arm pain that they have no physical issues. There is plenty science out there documenting the fact that cannabis does indeed have a direct effect on the heart, mainly by elevating pulse rate and blood pressure. If OP had said he jogged up a flight of stairs, then experienced chest and left arm pain, nobody in their right mind would try to assure him he has no physical issues.

When we were talking about someone feeling anxious, opinions were fine, but best to leave actual diagnoses to those who are qualified. Sunni could very well be correct, and likely is, but let's stay within our boundaries here.

Yes anyone feeling chest pain and left arm pain / numbness definitely needs to see a doctor.

It doesn't matter what is taken at the time coffee, beer, pot, etc...

This is one of the worst thing you can possibly say to a person experiencing anxiety. I went to the doctor and everything was fine, anxiety creates ghost pains in chest, arm, stomach which make you believe you're experiencing pain just because you're focusing on it. I don't think a healthy 21 year old person with no heart disease family history has anything to worry about if he smokes some weed and start experiencing anxiety and chest discomfort/pain.

Firstly just to add you should consider going to see Chiropractor. There may be a problem relating to a trapped nerve in your back or foot or somewhere else. This could cause some of the spasms and pains you describe. If that is the case they could help you over a few courses of treatment.
I have seen one in the past due to spasms in my neck muscles which eventual made my back and all my neck muscles lock up, this led to migraines which crippled me for hours/days/weeks. My entire collage years were ruined by this and I never learned the solution until I was in my 30s. You have seen a doctor so it would be worth examining the possibility that is neuromuscular instead.
Especially since you say you lounge around a lot. Chairs are made for comfort but not for correct posture and can screw us up.

Secondly I gave up smoking weed for 3 years. Came back to it when I could enjoy it again. It was causing me anxiety so I stopped.
Its a wise choice to make in your situation. Bear in mind that every strain can affect you in a different way. Some still make me anxious, I just note them and don't smoke it again. Also it can vary in the same strain depending on when that strain got chopped, wether it had all amber and had gone a little longer or just cloudy trichomes. In all honest I think just stopping for a month or two will help, it cant hurt!

Lastly, to you and all the people who posted here I would just like to say its literally brought a little tear to my eye reading all your good advice and kind words on the matter. Its great to know there are people who show consideration, compassion and kindness towards each other still existing in the crazy world we live in.

Please, please, listen to Sunni's advice.
I know from watching someone very close to me that you do not want this to get worse.
Try to get over whatever hangups you have about Doctors. Please see a professional.

Sunni- I really liked what you had to say on this subject. Thanks for taking the time to respond to this issue.

Regardless of what some people with agendas might say... Cannabis is NOT A CURE ALL.
Some people have very bad reactions from using cannabis and should avoid it.
You need to see a real doctor.

Bugeye is totally correct.. I experienced some things you described in your initial post. To me weed is almost like a conscience of its own. What I mean is, that when you do bad things or something bad happens, cannabis makes you reflect on that and it tries to make you deal with it in some way. My way was revenge and it evolved from there.. What I think happened for me was I took CONTROL. I stopped letting things control me.. the best I could anyway. I would also advise heavy running and exercise. I run 4 miles a day and smoke right after my run and man do I feel great afterwards.

You need to stand up for yourself and take control... You only live once remember that... Make everyday a good page in your book.. something worth reading..
