Any 1 with dr60??

need to vent was thinking 4'on top of tent pulling hot filtered air out.filter inside tent of course.will 4'booster fan at the bottom work? Heard if i dont have the right cfm my tent will cave in due to vacum effect.REP FOR HELP..Im running 150 sunsystem with inclosed ballast so i cant duct anything to it.

Suns systems generally have 1 removeable fan...... If not focus on your intake and exhaust. We do not know your tent size so its impossible to tell ya..............Trial and error and research all do the job.

You would have to be way over the cfm your tent could handle to cave it in. I wouldnt worry bout that, I am using a DR150.

IM IN THE DARKROOM60. So what cfm should i go for? 150 cfm and the 4'' booster on the bottom i should be ok right? And what the difference between the regular carbon filters and the little organic one?

Hi mate. im on my frist grow atm and using a dr60. Iv just ran into a problem with my kit. I have a 4inch hvk fan on top extracting air through a CAN filter. Im just have the tent flaps open for passive intake.
Im still having a little smell problem. For a while i was under the impression that my 4inch fan was too powerfull for the dr60 and was sucking the air though the carbon too fast, but now, im being told the opposite. That my 4inch fan isnt powerfull enough, that there is too much smell being produced for the fan to handle. I really am ripping my hair out trying to understand this.
iv been told two diff things which are exact opposite of each other.

Iv worked out the amount of cfm needed for the dr60.
Dr60 is 60x60x120. So, {in metres} 0.6x0.6x1.2= 0.432. Multiply this by 20 = 8.64

So i end up with 8.64 m3/hr, the hvk 4inch fan i have is rated at 175m3/ hr. Htf can the 4inch fan not be powerfull enough for a dr60 !! ??

Sorry, turned into a bit of a rant. Basically all im sayin is mate, make sure you get the correct fan so you dont have these problems im havin atm. If i get to the bottom of this, il let you know first.

You smell issue is because you don't have the vaccum effect on your tent. You want to create a negative air pressure on the tent so it cave in and all the air are exhausted trough the exhaust.
I turn over the air mass every minute and have 0 smell issue. Your tent is 60x60x120 so it is 250cubic inches. a 250CFM extraction fan with proper Can Filter will keep the room smell free.

There should be 1 4" flange on there..... grab some glass and dont close it all the way.... Make sure the carbon filter is rated at the appropriate CFM of the fan attached..... Smell is always a battle in my world.... When I make the jump there is only one word in my mind OVERKILL..... Big fans and big filters..........
