Any actual yield diff between 3 and 5 gallon containers?

People say more roots, more yield. Bigger the pot, more roots and thus more yield.

Has anyone actually tested and experimented to see if there's ultimately that much of a difference between a 3 and 5 gallon?

I guess I should note said plants will be vegged for a short duration.

If youre looking to do something like 2 weeks of veg my guess is the 5 gals are gonna be overkill, as far as i know root production slows down at some point during flower.

I've done identical runs with 1 gallon and 2 gallon pots. I got almost twice off the 2 gallon pots.Based on that it could be similar for your situation.

Of course there is but you'll have to veg to fit the container and take advantage of the extra medium, 2 weeks is a waste of time in either 3 or 5gal, I've done clones with a week of veg in 1gal pots, 2 weeks the largest I'd go would be 2gal.
