Any canadian outdoorers out there?

Do you guys know if crop king has any good seeds that will be good for a backyard garden? I'm in Alberta and summers are short. Should I start vegging indoors? Or it doesn't matter as outside it's up to nature anyway?

oh man i have family in alberta. you guys have wacked out weather there. early snows and what not. your frosts scare me. I will be starting my plants indoors, i mean they won't flower any quicker because of it, but they will be bigger. I have some autos that i think i will start early in the season indoors, maybe 2 weeks before i put them outside.

I have grown 5 auto-fem strains from Crop King...and they are hit & miss...very inconsistent
One turned male (very uncommon for a fem), several would not flower unless given 12/12 (so not real auto's) but when they work they turn out decent.
I typically start around mid-April indoors under a few CFL's and move to the sunshine when available...so a tag-team approach until the summer sets in
these are a few Crop King autos grown indoors with sunshine
auto's work great for our short summers months....as we know the sunshine can become rather lacking by September, with auto's you can easily be completed by end of August

I ordred the midnight express and the MI5, so i guess i'll see how it goes. the midnight was fem and the MI5 was regular. want to breed them

Ok, please forgive my stupid questions... if I have a strain that grows small indoors would that mean it would also be small outdoors? Also if seeds come from a multi generation outdoor plant would the new plant be acclimatized or does it not work like that? Hypothetically of course as growing is not legal lol. And if weed grows in nature with a cola as big as me for years and years the seeds must be pretty good right?

speaking of Crop King again....the Dwarf Low Ryder is a strain meant to be short/small, but as inconsistent as Crop King seeds are, these are no different.

Had a small one, and another about twice as tall...so once again it's hit & miss

Your questions aren't stupid, nobody was born knowing this stuff.

You may want to check out Early Grizzly, Iranian Autoflower or Hasha if you are in the far north.

Large colas are a double edged sword outdoors. If they are too tight, they can be a mold magnet and then you lose a large portion of that plants yield. Some people top often and go for a multitude of medium buds until they have a particular outdoor strain down and it's proven it's mold resistance. Good luck..

Your first mistake is trusting the breeder description.... order some of getawaymountain seeds and you won't regret it. I ordered bc early blueberry which was developed for Canadian weather apparently and was supposed to finish super early. They all finished the end of October and I still pulled early on most, they could have gone till November. Description said they would finish first week of September and they barely started flowering by then
Exactly. Bye and large breeders descriptions are about as reliable as promises from a politician lol.

Don't bring them indoors problem solved . If you have to soap and water is reccomended but then if you don't rinse them you'll have soapy bud . Dwitching them from inside to outside can cause so many problems.
