Any Experienced hydro growers? Need tips on growing hydro.

Hey guys, I'm interested on growing my own plants using hydroponics. The problem is I don't know what best method and tricks to grow Good dope. Any advice also how to get the plant to taste great? Need tips on great equipment, what best hydro set up to use, and getting great taste from when smoking it. First time writing a forum sorry for the long text.

To answer this would require that I write a book. So I would suggest you start by reading one. Research DWC or Deep Water Culture as its likely easiest to get started in hydro with. Also research Lucas Formula as it imho is the easiest nute regiment for a beginner. Reverse osmosis (RO) water is best for hydro. And for gawd sakes get a quality ph and ppm pen (Hanna, Blulab, Ecotest). Keep your ph at 5.8 (swinging a bit either way is ok) and your nutes 600-800ppm. Did I say read already? Good luck man!

Thanks for the tip man and just asking here would you recommend a grow tent or would it be better to make my own grow room.

have you ever grown before? if not, i suggest trying a soil grow first, to get your feet wet...
(hydro, feet wet, get it? lol...) maybe start with coir.

I would go DWC bubbler and use maxigro and maxibloom for nutes. They are as simple as it gets, top quality, and cheaper than all but a few commercial nutes (25lb bags) per feeding.

I recommend starting cheap mate, it all depends on how many plants you wish to grow, start small then go big, build your own room or use a cupboard. Good luck mate and happy growing

I would make my own to start. Keep your costs down at first and see you if get bit by the growing bug because if you do...look out. Try to get a crop or two under your belt.

I'm planing on starting with three plants. Depending on the pants, what type of lights would be great for seedlings and veg/flowering. Do I have to feed nutes everyday or is that once in a while? Thank you guys for the great tips

1000w digital w/ adjustable ballast. That way you have the option to grow more without buying more hoods later ;) not that much more expensive to have double the wattage. If money isn't an issue spend the extra $100

For veg I really really really suggest a T5. The 4', 8 bulb T5 isthe only way to go with ffluorescents. If you are hand with wiring, buy the pieces and make your own for cheap. They sell the kits online for shop lighting

Hey man that's cool, but wouldn't the pieces separately cost more?

well yeah that's what I was going to put first lol but then seeing he is newb with 3 plants

I run 1 plant under 1000w, best way to grow in my state.

Plus one of the biggest noob mistakes occurs in the equipment buying stage. Never have a pre detirmined setup "per say" because what u think is gonna work is gonna have to be tweaked. Takes years of growing to dial in conditions pre setup.

If you need 600w, buy a 1000. If you need a 6" fan, buy a 12" w/ a controller. More expensive to start but will save you money in the long run. This turns into a hobby amd you always will end up wanting to improve/perfect!

If you were to buy aluminum sheeting and top notch finishing yes, but you can build a cheap frame and use plastic for a hood. Laminate some mylar on the underside of the plastic sheet. Mount plastic sheet on top of wood/steel/etc frame.

The fittings are cheap
