Thanks for your response and sorry for the delay. I don’t mean to bring up a debated issue here , but why do you say you can’t “flush”? I own a ppm meter and can read built up salts in my medium . I’ve lnly grown cannabks one other time and fucked up my cure royalty . So I honestly can’t say that it does any good running pure water through but I was just curious and was wondering if you could elaborate .
My environment was shitty this time around (my 1st winter grow ). My problem is I’ve only been watering until runoff this whole grow and watering when soil was dry which was literally just once a week .this plant is very small but quality would prob be better than my last one . You think one pure watering the last week is sufficient enough? Or do it maybe twice that last week regardless if medium is dry or not and harvest when medium is dry? Sorry for long post just curious as to what I can do to improve in the future
I have been growing for a long time and have NEVER had enough salt build up that I needed to try and flush some out.
if you need to try and remove some from your soil, you are using too many nutes and your plants should be all burnt up.
as far as the plant goes, you can't flush anything out of that, that is not how plants work. Using water the last week or so is just because there is really no need to feed them anymore. Using water once or twice isn't going to make any difference in the end product. Harvesting at the right time, drying and curing will make the best product.
