Any Idea of yield? First auto run.

Check out the dutch passion threads on afn mate. You'll see all their autos done at over a lb. Most of them at 1.5lb+ indoors and biggest I've seen was about 3lb outdoors maybe slightly more. Dude called 912greenskell.
It annoys me when people think autos are small. Just gotta know how to treat em.
There's one guy over there, wish I could mind his name but he grows nout but creme caramel autos and he's getting 12-15oz each in about 70 days from seed!
That's fuckin insane.
What is afn?

I would guess at least 50 grams unless you cut it down too early. Could get much more, its really hard to say, too many variables, but i doubt you will pull much over 80 grams from it even if things go right. But you might.

It does need to swell up quite a bit still

Ended with 57 grams from one of them and 52 from another.
Nicely done.
If you increase your wattage for your next run you can easily double that.
4oz per plant is a pretty good average from an auto if you check other people's journals here.
Seems like you got the rest lined out, just consider more light when you want to move to the "next level" so to speak.

Well done. Enjoy the smoke.

Thank you. Yes I would love to move to a 4x4 with a QB but that seems a little far out at the moment, but definitely a goal.

I don't think "wattage" really dictates size like it used to with the older led's and HPS. I'm getting 4-6 ounce autoflowers consistently with one 64 watt autocob per plant.
I agree. My 1st grow with 1x 135 watt HLG QB gave me 10 t0 10.5 oz between 2 plants in 3.9 gal autopots. That light is supposed to be a 2x2 coverage and each plant could've used that much space. Quality of the light is more important than the amount IMO. I'm not gonna say 1 of the 135s can fill a 4x4 tent cause that's stupid, but any "standard" amount per sq ft isn't the almighty to me.

If wattage doesn't dictate size, why aren't you using 10w cobs to get 4-6oz per plant?

Wattage will always play a huge factor regardless of how efficient lighting becomes. Even if you can eventually get 1 pound from 1 watt, you still wouldnt get a pound from .5 watt of the same light.

hmm ok I see what your saying, and agree 10w wouldn't have yielded 6 oz. But to go the other way , I don't think if I doubled my autocob light to 120watts I would have yielded any better. I have to back off the light quite a bit even at 56 watts. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that wattage isn't a very good way to gauge anymore the potential yield. For example my Spider Farmer 1000 drawing 100ish watts consistently produces less Grams per Watt than my Autocobs @56 watts. To take it a step further my old viperspectra 900 drawing 400ish watts produced the least GPW of all my lights. When I grew in the 90's it was always around 1 to 1.5 lbs per 1000watts. Efficiency always changing.

I'm sure you may have stumbled upon "the grow boss" vids on youtube a time or 2. He's an old school guy and always ranting on that you need X amount to light/watts to produce X amount of bud or GPW. It's just not really true anymore. X amount of wattage does not equal X amount of bud. Don't get sucked into that old school way of thinking.

Ya know,
I do think I'll go ahead and stick to my "old school" way of thinking...

And you sir, enjoy your very "efficient" 4-6 ounces...

It's a nice plant, is that a auto ?

I think it's only fair if your going to try and epeen on me to note that my "very efficient 4-6 ounces" that your knocking on was pretty on par to your "2lbs with 8 auto flowers". Just wanna make sure we are comparing apples to apples here. But lets look at it from a gpw standpoint and time. So 56watt cob is doing 3gpw in 80 days with no C02. In this post Czarstroke did just under a half GPW with 300watts total, and you just told him to double it to 600watts of crap led when guys are hitting those numbers you quoted him with 100watts or less? So again my only point is wattage is not a great way anymore to determine the end weight. When your using old school HPS and do a decent grow you can expect what kind of harvest or gpw, with all the different led's on the market it's a crapshoot. So what kind of GPS on average are you hitting with your HPS grows,, ohh wait we already know because we all grew with them in the 90's.

No. That was not an auto. That was a 4 week veg from seed gorilla glue.

And here's what a 2lbs harvest 4x4 with 8 autos in it looks like also...

I'm not here to debate about the efficiency of lights.
I started growing because I wanted to produce cannabis.
Not because I wanted to cruise a site about growing plants so I can show the world how well I understand photon interaction and my depth of knowledge on how all the available light spectrum specifically interacts with each cellular molecule of an organic structure during photosynthesis.

If spending 3 months of your life taking care of a plant to get 6 ounces under 65 watts makes you happy. Great.

Filling a shit ton of really large glass jars with really good bud makes me feel great.

So let's just both enjoy m'kay?

What I told the OP has been, and always will, be sound advice.

You could fill more glass jars with half the wattage you are running. So is wattage really a accurate way to measure size anymore ? Was my whole point from the beginning.

It's really not, unless your dealing with old school HPS then go ahead and keep cranking those watts up.

Hey there! I am growing my first batch of autoflowers. Strain is Gelato auto by Fast Buds grown in Biobizz light mix, with biobizz nutes. Grown under Mars TSW2000 Had a PH issue when first entering flowering due to a cheap PH pen, but learned my lesson and doing well since then. It is on Day 51. Any input appreciated!
2-3 a plant imo. Fast buds do decent auto genetics but you need to be lucky some 2-3 other 6-8 per plant here’s my Tangimatic by fast buds got near a pound off 2 plants they were beasts though. Shitiest part about auto’s I find is the no cloning part I would of kept a mom for sure. Good luck bro65296FEC-D56E-4D9A-BC97-5A84D5BEF5BC.jpeg
