Any MarsHydro 300 users?

Hi guys, I'm new here.. So I started my first grow the other day, popped 3 Snow White seeds from Nirvana and put them under a 125w cfl they seem to like it. However I want to upgrade to LED for veg and wondered if anyone could speak good of the MarsHydro 300? Any help will be appreciated, cheers

How big a space are you trying to cover? How many plants ? I do not have any experience with Mars hydro lights but a little more info on what your goal is would make it alot easier to point in the right direction. I use area 51 xgs196 have 4 them for years now In a 5x5.

I started my grow with the Mars 300 (Check signature) and it worked fine. No experience with it in flowering though.

3 plants in a 90 x 90 x 160cm space, its a first grow but I would like a half decent harvest

I have the 300's and 600's. You need at least 1 300 per plant. 2 600's in your space would work much better.

I have 3 400w mars hydro ii lamps, my last grow i did with 2 of them on 2 scroged plants yielded 5 oz dried, but what i can tell you about these is they make your plants eat higher doses of cal mag.

I reccomend you scrog or lst though, as mars do not have the best penetration in comparison to higher end COBs

I could sell you mine. I grew my plant too big for it, but it still worked. Just not ideal for larger plants. Smaller plants with the light close it should do fine.

I'm moving onto COBs, more money but better results for what I want.

I would however I just bought a Mars 600 instead was planning to buy 2 tbh dunno if it was a bad idea though

I always hear more smaller lights are better than one big light. Easier to distribute the light more evenly. I'm sure the 600 will do the job though. They're just slightly less efficient than the COBs that are taking over in the diy section

And a 400w in actual watts is only 190-240 at most, so i believe when i tested i was running just shy of 400 actual watts
