Wow, has this board taken a hard right or WTF? Optimism must be totally dead. The pessimism of the right is prevailing.

In the words of Slick Willie, "Obama is just another Chicago Pol." The bar was set so high and he pulled in so many indie's and swing voters...plus running against the modern day Bob Dole gave Obama a huge advantage. Now that many have realized that he's painfully average at best and not the man of change many thought he was, where are his winning voters left to go? To the right.

This isn't just on RIU. A dispensary here in SD has that Joker photo of Obama with Socialism under his face.

He didn't promise much for MMJ but many thought he would bring something to the table. He has lost many MMJ folks for sure.

I feel if he had ran against a more popular conservative he probably would have narrowly lost. McCain was poorly funded, had a weak VP and no substantial base like a Romney.

Imagine that, a poster attempting to label Obama as a socilaist in the great state of South Dakota. A state which is currently a republican stronghold.

I hope beyond hope the repubs run Romney....Romneycare will be the new malaise...not that Obama won't be re-elected anyway. It's the economy, stupid

I didn't vote for Obama but in the last week or so he has decided to drill for oil somewhere. That alone could affect gas prices and he got more troops to Afghanistan (better late than never). But at the same time he pissed off almost 60% of the population with healthcare "reform."

He should have congress respecting him like a dog to its master given the momentum behind his campaign and victory. His fall has been severe.

+1 to the moderates.

Us/them thinking is death to a democracy, it should be about the issues. We paid a very heavy price for our last clash of the parties. Let's hope we don't do it again any time soon.

There are very Republican parts of San Diego as well, like up towards Rancho Santa Fe and others. McCain got nearly 45% of the vote in San Diego County and won its neighbor to the north, Orange County with nearly 51% of the vote. McCain only got 53% of the vote in SD.

I should have realized SD does not have MMJ, especially after I looked at this fucking awesome map the other day as I may have to relocate in a year or so.

San Diego (SD) is a big military county. On one occasion I saw 5 aircraft carriers at Coronado. Ok 4...the 5th is a museum ;)

The city is liberal. Yes the county is more conservative which makes it balanced to me. Of course my liberal friends can't handle the balance. Anything resembling an even balance to them is clearly very far right. :)

Research my posts. I'm very critical of SD's prosecution of MMJ operators. I've never heard of a patient having issues within their limits.

There are 3mil+ people here. I cannot speak to this one persons issue. People sell pot on Craigslist here with no issues and their not even clubs...just some dude in his house slingin'.
