Just joking fellas your not old ,just ecperienced lol.Been growing in an openroom,1000 watt hps with open POS batting style reflrector.I finally ordered some gear as you will see in the pic below.I also already have 4 more 1000 what ballast ,one mo 're open hood like I'm using now.So i! Really just looking to run two lights right now but if you guys see somethimg I don't feel free to set me straight .Room is 9.5x7.5 with 7.5 ceilimgs,and the other part of the room the ceiling slopes from 7.5.down to 3.5 and is 4 ft wide 7.5 long.there is a window in the centre of room that will fit a window unit AC if that's so!being I need.now there is also closer in the room that is 4.5 x.7.5 with the same slope to it so it could be used as veg room ceiling seedling room as well.I named on building a room within the main room so I can get some reflection from walls and be able to control the envirnment a little easier then the big room.I will be running bohdi and useful everything lol.Maybe the odd exotic I have a cross going right now involving exotic .if anyone has some time to kill have at er.I will consider all advice and a advice is welcomr ,positive or negative .I wanna hear from you.will be running soiless ,peat moss and coco .doing FF right now but not for damn long.will consider hydro set up .thanks I'm advanceScreenshot_20200417-140054.png

I have the same fan. Not the greatest, don't blow very much air on high speed and there is not a lot of adjustment as fat as angle you want it to go. The clip is kinda shitty as well.

Yes I didn't have the ca an to get what I wantred.I expect to have to buy new fans unforunatwly.I just bought what I could before im not able to because of th is pandemic shit.I'm not one to count my pennies so to speak so not too concerned .what would you rec omend as far as fans?also I bought the two expecting to use one for right ventilation and one for room ventilation and ha ve passive exhaust .I was sure if I could suck the hu mid air from grow room thru the hoods or not

And wasn't sure on the size of room I would have either .it was a shot in the dark ,impulse buy that was now or never kinda thing lol.

Best bet is to measure out a 5x9.5 space and center the lights over that area for flower if you want to run different cycles in there could just buy a tent for flower plenty of 5x9 tents just look for one 7 ft tall. Use that 6 inch fan you got to cool the lights on a close loop mean never touching the air in the room best to blow thru that ducting if the fan is powerful enough so you don't suck smell out. Now you will need another fan id order an 8 Inch inline fan (id order 2 and use an 8 to 6 reducer and use that to blow thru the light as well, use that 6 inch for veg). You will also need a carbon filter I'd get a can lite 8x40. Buy an autopilot day night thermometer for your exhaust fan.

Exhaust need to go to the outside of the house as does the exhaust (hot air side) of air cooled lights.

For veg use the closet with 2x 315 cmh or 2 x 400 watt mh. Use your six inch fan here for exhaust also on a thermostat. Id use a can 33 filter here.

For the hot months and/or if your central ac isn't enough or don't have it you can use the window and should be fine with 15,000-18,000 btu unit. This is prob oversized a bit but I know for sure one that size will work.

Dehumidifier is something that you gonna have to guess at I'd start with one 70 pint and go from there.

A humidier for veg is nice as well.
Hydrofarm makes closet door covers to help light proof the closet if decide to not use a tent for flower.

Remember if your pulling air out of a room it has to be replaced so you need to size an intake use 2 90s attached and painted black inside for a light trap. You will need 2 8 inch Intakes for flower and 2 6 inch intakes for veg. They make spring loaded dampers in both sizes so you will want 2x8 Inch of those and 2x6 inch of those ideal air makes them if can't find them somewhere else. Use some kind of filter on the intakes panty hose can work or they make filters. Locate intakes down low directly opposite from exhaust that should be at the top.

What's the power situation like in that room and are you comfortable with wiring?

@Apalchen I'm so sorry man I had no idea you replied I just thought It was other people shitting on me for rambling on .Thanks so much.Seeing how I thought no one replied I asked for some mor e help from @JoeRogan420 so I will listen to all of it and see what happens.have bought most of what I need for a6x9 room not knowing I had any advice on here but aanywah ,I bought : 20-2x4x8 2-2x4x10 7 sheets 4x8 maranti 3\8inch thick 3 sheets 4x8 3\8 plywood 2 sheets of thermasheeet (styrofoam with groves cut for strapping to fit in) 4x8 3\4 inch thick for the floor 1 inch thick sheets of styrofoam insulation with the shiny metal on the outside a of it for interior walls of room lots of other o d s and ends .I have 100 ft of 1\2 pex pipe to run some plumbing in to suit the room.first post has pic of new grow gear purchased and have 3 !pre ballast and two reflectors on top of it .don't really have an actual budget .will be growing soiless drain to waste peat and coco .will be living here forever likely.no concern of any inspections ,I am aloud 60 plants for medical that includes clones seedlings anything with roots I beleive.im only concerned about smell in terms house neighbours can suck it and theivs are of no concern. @JoeRogan420 if I missed anything let me know first post has same info maybe little more about some stuff.Thanks received_2302782380017145_kindlephoto-20010459.jpgreceived_2644807865755050_kindlephoto-20745168.jpgreceived_2520142324906697_kindlephoto-19417387.jpgreceived_259601618506946.jpeg Closet doorway is 4ft wide interior is 7.5 ft x4.5 ft with same slope ceiling as other end of main room.closet is all open space just waiting for an idea

I'm removing pine and click flooring tonight that's why mess is there. @Apalchen yes I'm electrical apprentice I can do what wiring needs done.there are 3 15 amp receptacles in the room but are all on same circuit.I have 100 amp entrance but fuses no breakers !!!! I have some 15 amp circuits that can easily be cleared and dedicated to the room probably 3 easy enough.

I have 2 of the 6 inch fans right now apalchen ! I am not concerned about the smell is that the only reason you wouldn't suck air from the room thru the lights?


ALso have been wondering about intake ,does a passive intake like your talking about work as well as an inline fan bringing air in? Or is it best to have fan for i ntake?

Is there a good place to order dehimidifer s online?I have been looking in stores around here and I have only found one 70 pint and that's the biggest I have found!!
