tap water temp of 70f, no nutrients, i added ph down then addad a drop of ph up to give the water a ph of 6.2.
i never used ph up till now as i know how much ph down to use (added a drop more by accident thats why i used ph up to rectify) tent temp is 78 lights on and 68 lights off.
400watt hps dual spec.
i am thinking nutt burn but didnt add any nutt's.

I looked again, are you sure that this happened within two hours?
Sure looks to me like a couple days. That's strange.

hi cruzer101
yep all in the space of 2 hours, (i forgot to zip the tent up and went back to do it then found them like this) if you look at pic 1 it has the brown rust on the edge and i would think it was nutt burn but cant see how when they have had only water for the last six days, gunna check everything out again to see if i missed anything

The light did it. 2 feet is too close for HIDs. There is nothing else that will do that in 2 hours. Unless you have cool tubes for your light. Then I am vexed.

Looks like heat stress by the cuping of the leaves.

Also 2 ft isnt too close for HID, I have mine 1ft below my 600's. It all depends on how much the hoods are vented

You don't need to cut it off, its dried to a crisp, it wont get moldy. If you do cut though, only cut away the messed up area. It wont heal the messed up area, but it wont cause any real issues if you don't remove it.

It seems a little strange, but it could be a deficiency. Why arnt you using nutes? Your plants look far enough along for nutes. Unless you are like my friend and insist that you can grow 4oz plants indoors without any nutes (he hasnt shown any proof though and if anything, he has shown only reason to disbelieve his claims).
