I heard that if you have a female plant you could stress her out a bit and get fem seeds you don't have to use the whole pant. You can harvest most of the plant and just leave some small buds at the bottom. you can also over flower and as a last safety mechanism she produce nanas and make seeds to save genetics but not all strains do this or so i have read.

I am doing this right now for the first time. Colloidal silver is the best method, you don't want to stress the plant because you will increase the odds of the hermaphrodite gene being expressed in future generations. Just spray with a CS starting about a week before flower. Spray everyday once or twice until about week 2 of flower and you should start seeing many pollen sacs. All the CS does is change the chemicals in the plant forcing it to make pods instead of pistils, much lower stress... It is best to start the plants being sprayed on 12/12 at least a week before the plants that will be pollinated.

There are more details but they can be found with a quick search of the site.

You can "over flower" as well but the seeds will not have time to develop on the same plant. You would need to pollinate another plant that is earlier in flower.

Use at least 40ppm CS. I made my own very easily, there are many DIY threads for it here.

Ok, I must have missed that. One more thought is maybe if it does self pollinate from "over flowering" you could change the light schedule back to 18/6 or more to start the reveg process? I am not positive what effect this would have on seed development but I would think they would still form fine. This way you could keep the plant alive for the 3-4 weeks you need for seeds. Also give it a high Nitrogen feeding when you reveg. Again, just a thought, not positive it would work.

Could you post a link to the product that you've used with success?
