Any pics of topped plants in a DWC?

I'm going on my 4th week in my DIY DWC based off of Roseman's build.

I'm wondering if I should top them before I go into flower or should I just let them be and let the plant grow in it's natural form.

Anybody have any recommendations, experience, etc. Pics would be great too.

Thanks to all for suggestions!
 
no expert here but its said around here that your plant can tripple the size in the flowering phase. if you have room for a 5ft+ plant no topping needed.

Hey man i have the Bubbleponics setup i topped pretty early. Worked out good for me thoe. Just remember when you topp them they wont grow much for a couple of days. Here are some pics for ya :peace: !

Here is the most up to date pic of Kimber the plant i topped. Same plant as the one above about 2 weeks later.

She is the one on the very front right. Tons of new growth. You can compare in the second pic, Front left is a plant that was not topped and front right was a plant that was topped. See the difference. If you want your plant to be short and bushy and produce more than one main cola then topp before you flower. Atleast a week before. If you want one big massive cola on top and more popcorn size buds below go for natural growth. I have heard of people topping while flowering just depends on what u want to do. I would say to top for sure in the veg phase. I had a light fall on this grow I am currently in, and it was too far into flower and I got two small buds and nothing like I expected. This next grow of my Super Lemon Haze starting Oct 4th I am going to top one of them early on in veg and see what it does....

Ah, okay, I see it.

So are you happy you topped yours or would you have rather kept it going as one stem?

I don't have much room to grow out but a lot of room to grow further up.

I've got 6 plants going in my tub now but I think I'll probably have to cut some when I find out their sex.

That would be great if they were all females!
 
well i do have the same plant un-topped in the room next to it and about a week to go till i chop her and i would say that wish i topped it. By just looking at my topped plant it looks like my yield is going to be alot more then my un-topped plant. I always buy feminized seeds so i know that they will be females and i know i wont be wasting my time if i were growing males .
 
Ladyluck if you would have topped eariler in the grow they would be much shorter,tighter nodes and bushy..we need to keep em low growin inside,:-o
 
damn, ty for the tip....yea i topped around 2-3 weeks into veg then grew for another 2 weeks...its now in 12/12 for 2 weeks already...

when should i top? while we r on the subject...
