I'm in the fourth week of flowering two blue widows, I've scrogged them in a four pot wilma system, only using two of the pots, anyone grew these before?? They seem to have quite a different smell off them, any reviews on smoke yield etc.

I have grown it outdoors. Not the biggest yield but worth the effort to grow. Very tight ball like nugs. Smoke is at bit expansive with a really strong body buzz. A heavy feeder for sure.......

she just ran into some bud mold about 7 weeks into flower and was pretty much gutted as you can understand i'm sure.. just the bw got the mold though, so keep an eye on yours would be my word, lol.
it sucks hard cuz it was looking really dank and all, but not much you can do really...

@racerboy

Had a little look thru ur journal, the BW looks pretty nice, just hoping I don't have mould problems, as I say it's in a scrogg in a one meter squared tent, I've got a 4" inline fan at the bottom of my tent, a 4"carbon filter extracting air along with an 8" fan blowing up thru the canopy and a smaller fan blowing down on top of the canopy, hopefully this is enough air circulating. It's my first scrogg and i never got the screen completely filled so the not that packed together. Might even get another small fan blowing on the canopy, goina keep a tight eye on these when the buds start fattening now I know

it was her first grow in a new area, so she's run into a few hiccups along the way, mold being the last of them, which really sucks.. she's not sure what caused the mold yet really either as her humidity was always in check and temps are always on the lower side of things honestly...
the only thing she has noticed is that her fan was blowing more on the other plant and the bw was getting as much fresh air on it, that and the fact that the buds are super tight and dense on the bw, which doesn't allow for much air to get into the buds obviously.

Nice tight buds sounds good, just hope the mild stays away, I've another 4 or 5 weeks to go and ill post the results on here whether there's mold or not, if there is it must just be the strain or something, when I wrote this that's the last thing I wanted to hear but I suppose I'm better off knowing eh!

Good air movement lights on and off. Be mindful of your watering habits near the end. And keep your dirty little fingers from test pinching them and I bet you'll be fine.....

Yeah, air 24/7 from now on, there in a wilma system that waters them for 15 mins every 2 hours, this works fine for me. Never thot of that m8, sometimes I've a habit of pinching them buds lol, never thot of them starting to mould from dirt of ur fingers, hands of from now on!

She's a beautiful plant that loves to be trained. Here's mine at 7 weeks.She has had a distinct blueberry smell since 5th week of veg.Week 7 (10).jpgWeek 7 (11).jpgWeek 7.jpgWeek 7 (3).jpgWeek 7 (4).jpgWeek 7 (5).jpgWeek 7 (6).jpgWeek 7 (7).jpgWeek 7 (8).jpg

I agree, loves to be trained, I topped mine and then let it hit the scrogg screen, but wer the V forms wer the two tops split, this was pushing against the screen, so I took the screen away one day and bent it and tied it all shapes, done loads of pulling and tying in one day and this didn't seem to stunt her at all, if anything she grew more, great plant for scrogging

Yes as Racer said, I had moved from a super dry environment to a super wet environment. Lemme tell you, you think you have your shit on lock.... until moving to a different state with an extremely different climate. I have a Vortex fan with well enough CFM's for the tent with the CFilter attached. The air was being moved by a 10 inch box fan. I don't "pinch" test my nugs, as you can see by my trichome shots. Pinching is just a waste imho, listen to that info from Cowboy Logic.

What happened in my situation was the positioning of my fan sucked, for this climate. Back where I had a much dryer climate, this worked fine. The KB was also far bigger/bushier than the BW, the fan was on the KB side pushing through to the BW. The KB unfortunately was WAY too bushy and this left the smaller BW with less air circulation. Was my first grow in this new state, but I'm very well prepared for future grows and they should go much more smoothly from now on.

I was very impressed with the phenotype I got, it was very nice. Took more of the WW in the one I got. Both the KB and BW are going to be re-vegged in my other tent as I got super lucky and both are definitely keepers. Plus with the plants in Veg I can apply fungicides to make sure that any spores are gone. My point is I'm willing to go through a re-veg to keep her as a mother, because she is just that nice. Mine was Dinafem, hope this helps some.

I got the seeds as a freebie from attitude and yes they are dinafem. vegged for six weeks lst. I'd say she's got about 3 more weeks give or take. Haven't looked at trichomes yet but there are plenty of white hairs and the calyxs aren't swelled.

I would give the pheno of blue widow I grew high marks in looks, smell, and taste, only average marks in potency. My plant, like someone already mentioned, had powdery mildew issues late in flowering. Good luck with yours.

i grew blue widow last year, it sucked, barely got me high, it is weaker compared to just the widow itself, unless your a weak smoker and then maybe you'll like it, i like stronger stuff myself when its available.

Sounds like you got a weak phenotype, that sucks.
