Any Tips For Saving Energy?

I am not changing my grow lights at all. never will in my opinion the gavitas far way better than LED. I am swaping my dryer gor a Gas one. the current one is running like if I was running my whole grow room for like 5 hours. We do loundry once a week (weekend) big family so the dryer is one of the most costly apliance when it comes in paying your electric bill. So that right there will drop my bill down at least 100 bucks, plus dish washer wont be use as much during the week. and all interioir lighting in the house will be swaped to led light bulbs. I can easily save at least 200-250 bucks. Thats a good start I think.

Look at the power company website and see if they have different pricing options. My company will let you choose a plan where night time electricity costs less and during the day it costs more. Also if you have an electric car some will give a discount on the bill.

Any pointers amigos on how can I save a bit more. My goal is not to pay more than $700 max trhu the summer Months.

ok so solar panels are the best way I think. You don't need them on top of you house. If you have a south facing backyard with a privacy fence you can run the power cord from the panels to the battery bank that can be in you garage. There are some solar panels that auto track the sun too. Hope that helps

Not knowing your present setup.......Isolate the grow room from the rest of the house.

Use sealed reflectors to vent heat from lights to outside your house. I pull fresh air from the north/cool side of the house.
Install a small chiller in your res. I will act as a heat sink and plants love cool water.

Georgia power. They jack up rates during summer because everyone wants to crank the AC. I think ill try that six hour flower thissummer and a 12-1 veg schedule where you do lights on 12 hours off 5.5 on 1 off 5.5. That extra hour in the middle of the night stops them from wanting to flower.
