Any validity to this form of LST?

This is called Ponytailling. The top fan leaves are tied up for a time. The theory is to let light into the parts of the plant that would normally be shaded while in veg. It is supposed to make the plant produce more branches, like LST. This is an autoflower so it can't really be topped.

I just saw it on a thread on another forum and thought it was interesting. The plant turned out awesome. This is a Sugar Mango Ryder

I may pop two auto seeds next week. I was thinking that I'd just tie down the main in week two and three..

Thanks for the post... I'll give it a try on my next grow. I have a few other ways of getting light that I may share someday.

I think that with autos the best policy is to just tie the main down to the side. Should give you a bush.
