to a point... i cant see myself gettin much more by using 5gl container as aposed to a 3gl with no veg time... i can jus fit more cup in a space rite??? i know the rule of thumb is 1 per 1/2 ft' but i dont waana pay for containers or colect a bunch of pop bottles and keep cleanin and reuseing.. im lazy and will be doin enuff work as it is to keep this thing going... think the diff between bud size in a 2tl bottle and the red cups be compensated by more in the space??? or will the shade eachother out.. rember there is no veg so they rnt that big.. oh and im using a 3x3 with a 400hps

you should b fine you can always cut the botom of the cup out lata and put it on top of another cup. i usally dubble mine up or paint them so the roots dont get any light

lol, that is what I was about to say. Pot in pot them. that would be fast. I start my plants in one gallon bags. yu cud use 1 gallon grow bags. they are cheap and cake.

i use a sog but dont use red cups, instead i use plantable pots and the bottom of a rectangular tub i put a soilless blend...this works as it saves space and the roots can run wild...very ez to pull males if found also

I grow in clear cups w/holes in bottom for water drains. I cut the bottom out of the color cup and use as a sleeve.

You can watch roots without light harming them.

You can use diff colors (I use red and blue) to help keep track of the plants.
