Anybody a little microbiologist? got a microscope and study your teas and soil?

Hey guys im looking to pick up a microscope for studying soil and tea microbes and fungi. anybody here already into this? do you just use an old compound microscope from like a highschool biology class? or anybody got a digital microscope care to share some cool pictures? and lend some advice buy buying a good microscope. i like the idea of archiving my stuff on a computer like what a digital microscope is capable of. All help appreciated!

If you're just looking for pics, or pic taking capability, there are simple scopes out that attach via USB. My question is just how detailed do you need and exactly what are you trying to view. The organism? It's nucleus or cell membrane or cell wall?

For PC based scope that should do any job you need it to do check this:

maybe a horticulture store near you has a microscope to check things out. i know the only by me has one where you can bring in some tea and check out the microbes moving around and stuff. the owner is very informed on compost tea and could tell you everything you need to know. i might get into perfecting my tea. im just scared to bring some in and not find any microbes cause i was brewing wrong or something...

as for hotrodharley i would primarily like a scope to look at the organism but im fairly sure the compound scopes iv used that have 400 and 1000 x zoom settings are capable of looking at both organism's in lower zoom and cell walls in 1000x am i correct?? i pretty much am looking for the same type of microscope i was using in highschool biology

there is a soil store near me that brews teas and sells soil amendments and they have a really nice microscope and i often spend afew hours in there chopping it up with the owner or whoever is working looking at soil and tea samples, i meant to ask him the type of scope he used but im always super baked and talking about a bunch of different things.

DUDE THANK YOU iv been searching for microscopes online for afew days and i havent looked at that one but it seems better than the others i was looking at i think im going to order it in afew days
