I was gonna take a pic of the dreaded green bags to show you but it didn’t. So as you know i’m using the coco bliss also, i just bucket tek’d(in 5gal water coolers to boot not just buckets) and loaded some into bags along with spawn as another test. In front of flow hood! I have been pressure cooking my cv no g in bags. Sealing out the pressure cooker and then spawning in front of flow hood and sealing again without loosing hardly anything. Like 1 out of 100 bags. One reason I could be getting trich on some tubs before they fruit could be from me Spraying the top layer With water a little too much Or maybe some type of contamination in the spray bottle. I may try To just do the top layer at field capacity. That way I don't have to spray It. The humidity where my boxes are at in the tent is 70% R. H. So I probably don't have to spray too much anyways. Yesterday I had a tub almost colonized except for the very middle, I took the tape off the holes and put micro pore tape on and it turned green over night. Wtf smh...
Well, I'm using CVG for my substrate. But when I Do bucket tech pastorization I use boiling tap water. My tap water does have a ph of about 7.5. Don't know if that's much of a problem. Because the Coco and gypsum are supposed to be a buffer for the p. H.. Then in my spray bottle. I just use distilled water Straight out of the bottle. I've just been going and going and going and haven't really got too much into the science of everything. I'm wondering if trich likes my PH more than my mycelium does. Come to think of it. I don't know if I had this problem when using only coco, And at that time I was pasturizing with distilled water. So mushrooms like it a little Acidic or about neutral ph. 6 to 7. Now thinking about it when I added gypsum Which Raises the ph and started using hard tap water With a high ph Is right around when I started having these issues. Maybe my substrates has a little bit to Much alkalinity
I've never had to make anything more acidic save when I overdid lime. Then I used peat moss. Can I use Ph down or lemon juice to bring down the Ph? My Ph out of the tap is around 8.5 sometimes it is even higher.
Im making my own Lc syringes from jars ive made and have pulled from every jar atleast once so Right now I'm just inoculating as many jars as i can and hoping for the best Lol. I guess that's how it goes for me when trying to make something out of nothing. With this it's like success and failure can both be misleading!!10 days since I inoculated and I'm not seeing anything white yet. The grain layer looks kinda dry to me, but not sure I know what it really should look like. Gotta be a cost to the unusual luck I had on my first run. This time around, have a feeling I'm gonna run through an entire syringe on dud bags.
Spores can take a little while, especially if the grains a little dry, That could make it stall out.10 days since I inoculated and I'm not seeing anything white yet. Yeah. My temp may be a little below ideal, too. The warmest spot I have to stash it that stays completely dark stays around 71*.Spores can take a little while, especially if the grains a little dry, That could make it stall out.
I have everything that's incubating, Colonizing, and fruiting In the same area and I Try to keep it at about 75°Yeah. My temp may be a little below ideal, too. The warmest spot I have to stash it that stays completely dark stays around 71*.
*** These pics don't make it look quite as dry as real life. The grains seem fairly loosely packed. I'm thinking my first run it seemed more like a solid block.

You also have to remember that Mycelium creates heat so inside of the growing environment will usually be a Few degrees higher Which can make a big difference. I have monotubs stacked inside of a grow tent And the tent has temperature and humidity probe. Recently I've taken a heat gun and looked at the heat inside of a monotub that was stacked in the middle And it was 80° But the temperature inside the tent was like 74°. IME when the Temps are 80+ I start get issues.Yeah. My temp may be a little below ideal, too. The warmest spot I have to stash it that stays completely dark stays around 71*.

That is crazy yeah these things kind of do the wrong thing sometimes. I also Get that whispy white contam That I sometimes mistake for mycelium.Had a PE clone lc that needed testing, made it all the way to the tub and then I noticed some strands of a super thin wispy white mold on the surface so I threw it in the garage. Few days later I went to dump it and the surface was colonized and the mold hadn’t moved so I left it.
that was like a month ago, this is today.

no idea where the mold was but I guess it wasn’t very strong.
looks like a really good clone, if it was clean and had light and air and temps above 50 I bet it would’ve been packed.
All the jack frost that i've gotten has been from skeleton crew and has always killed it. I recently just used a year old JF syringe from them And the tub just killed it. It's on It's fourth flush right now. Usually I never put spores straight to grain. I always make LC out of them first. But this time I didn't. I'm thinking it might be a good idea for you to do the same or agar.Ambient temp inside the tub is identical to the surface readings from my IR thermometer - 71-72. I saved myself just enough JF spore solution to inoculate one last bag. If nothing happens with any of them in the next couple of weeks, just gonna blast the guy's feedback and then buy from someone else. With my luck, it'll probably just be the B+ bag that grows.
Hey man sorry, I don't fully understand so what was the outcome of the experiment? Was it the coco bliss or was it bucket tek that was failing. Are you saying That you had a lot more success pressure cooking the Coco.I was gonna take a pic of the dreaded green bags to show you but it didn’t. Every fucking single one of the only bucket tek’d ones contaminated i sware to god. 20? Of them. Fucking bullshit. Same batch of spawn between the 2. Ordered some new bricks to try. Pc’ing the coco bliss its all good.
