Many many variations if you want the purple colouration your probably better off growing outdoors for the cold tempratures to turn it in colour otherwise your probably better off spending time searching for a strain that's been specifically breed to have the colouration come through with out the temprature I had one set of seeds that were violet purple in mid spring in veg on there 4th set of leaves with out even knowing it was male or female that was some real nice smoke the pistles were pink orange and white loved that strain sadly never got a male and haven't been able to find it sinceIts one of those strains it needs cold to purple rather than has genetically purple buds always if its the most common version u got op cos take like say pck that line has lots of purple phenos regardless of temps for example also it depends on which purple kush your growing theres many with that name that are different genetically theres clone only versions and seedlines too to make it more confusing most state it as hindu kush x purple afghani in origin but theres a few variations out there
