Hello all, I have some plants in 5 gallon buckets that have been sitting outside for a couple of days and are ready to go in the ground and notice this bug and some leaf issues. I know they are probably getting root bound and need replanted. The new growth all looks good and its only a few leaves on certain plants, not all plants and not all over. They are in coast of Maine soil and I just started giving them some bio-thrive grow 4-3-3. Thanks all.

Hi Pointer,

From viewing the photos, and from my experience, the small white dots on the leaves are 100% spider mites, they're are v tricky to remove, and can be v annoying for growers, as they are extremely small (tiny silk like bugs) and suck the sap from the leaves which will then lead to the leaves dying off. If you dont mind spraying plants, then other forums suggests neem oil (vaseline coating for the plants), peppermint spray, ginger anything potent and spider mites dislike this v much, but this can affect the taste of your grow. As a natural grower I tend to avoid these products and have had much success just spraying the bottoms of the leaves with a pressure sprayer to blast the mites off or going along wiping down the leaves with a clean wet cloth thats washed out regularly with just water, (make sure to wipe down the leaf stems as its v hard to get all areas. Try to get into the branch splits aswell as they try to hide in between for protection. Spider mites do not like cold /damp environments or windy areas so keep this in mind when dealing with them. They thrive in temps around 20 degrees and above and can populate hundreds in a matter of days. Hope this advice help you out, and if your in any need of any more advice, id be happy to help. Keep Growing!

What has the word "vERY" done to you? It must have been pretty bad for you to make it the only word you constantly shorten to just the first letter.
