Anybody running side by side 4k rooms on a flip?

Yes, but i hate cap dude. Their hightempshutdown switch w/delay(15 min)has a fricken mind of it's own sometimes. Their switch has an led on it that blinks if there was a previous shutdown/interuption. That was pretty slick. Their quality went out the window a few years back. Not sure
about now, since hydrofarm acquired them. I can recomend the iGS-012. Adjustable delay, but no indicator, to let you know of a previous shutdown. Oh well!
As far as lighting controllers, we build our own. I had no idea makers of lighting controllers were incorporating shutdown switches w/hot start delays, into models now. Pretty cool

I was told powerbox does it all (light controller, soft start, heat shut down, timers etc). So I'm looking into those now. Need an 8 light unit, with two trigger switches, two timers. I've been using my CAP products for a couple years. No problems.

The only Powerbox I can find with dual trigger switches is http://www.powerboxinc.com/dpc12000-d.html

Nice unit but I'll still need to add two timers and two http://www.titancontrols.net/products/lighting/zephyr-2.aspx or similar item.

Oh, I still have a bunch of cap products out there. I just won't be replacing any of them with another cap product when they die. The worst was their co2 gens. Dam solenoids would stick open and, holy shit! A tank of propane will run out, a piped in natural gas one won't. Sketchy shit. I knew of at least 20 of them, in the bay area alone, that went down like that(including a few of mine). Send it back for repair, and they would put the same defective, chinese made solenoid back in, and guess what would happen? Cocksuckers I tell ya. That was 5 yrs ago.

CAP does come in last lol. Sentinel for CO2 generator imo.

I love my Sentinel generator. I'll use the Titan over the CAP this round, if I have too. I might not have too, I've been advised that Powerbox does custom orders. An all in one light controller will be amazing.

I built my own. Runs lighting, blowers, floods pumps for trays.

That's a beautiful thing Snaps. I know someone who can do this for me, he's just too busy. Powerbox is built in the USA. Just waiting to here back from them on a custom order. I'm now a little less stressed, and a lot more excited.

Fun part is that almost all components were just collecting dust in my work van or shop storage. Leftovers from the job.

With those overkill parts it would cost about $1900 - 2100 in parts. Could be done cheaper but alas parts were just sitting around for years. The controller is the brains, all the over current protection is in the form of square-d sub panels and a 125a grow subpanel that feeds the whole basement. Image is old from construction time...

Its not that old. Its just the parts are commercial grade. The two large lighting contactors with auxiliary contacts are over $550 each but can handle extensive use at high loads. The auxiliary contacts serve to lock each other out and they piggy back control logic for other functions. The motor contacts for the blowers have adjustable overload protection.

the powerbox comes with the high temp/hot strike relay. also has a feature so all the ballasts don't fire at the same time. they are offset by .25 seconds or something. just have to get the "Mercedes" model. Think it's the SDC models.

Okay i have a quick question, im thinking of getting a powerbox and a flipbox for my op, i just recently found out about these lighting controllers and that i can use my 3prong dryer outlet for a plug and play kind of thing. Im pretty sure this outlet is rated for 60amp but i definitely know its rated for 30 at the minimum. I only say 60 because when i pulled the fuse(im guessing) it had 2 30amp fuses inside it and i know my dryer has a dedicated line.

I planned on purchasing the Powerbox DPC-8000 which has 8 240v outlets but im thinking of purchasing the LSM-16 FLIPBOX to run 16 lights on 8 ballasts. but since im not sure about the 60 or 30 amp thing im probably going to run only 6 ballasts but dont wont to upgrade powerboxes and flipboxes in the future lol

anyways question is can I NOT use the powerbox timer and just use the flipboxes built in digital timer since the ballasts will always be on? i attached the image below from their site, this is what id want to do just with less lights. Thanks
