Thanks duder. No, don't let them touch a paper bag. I am worried they would loose too many crystals and don't love the smell. When I chop I usually do most of my pruning, then let hang for a few days. When I chop, I try to keep the branches shorter then 14 inches for the next step. Once the outside of the bud is starting to feel a little crispy, I put them in a 5 gallon bucket with the lid on and let sit for a day to even out the moisture. Then I hang again for another day or so...basically repeat, shortening the amount of time hanging each time usually. drying rates vary, depending on season. So once I am close to curing moisture, I clip off the branches and put into mason jars. If I put them in a little early, and feel too moist after a day of being closed, then I put out on a clean table and let air dry for a few hours (repeat if needed). Then seal up and burp the jar for a few weeks. boom.
