Anyone else hate Apple, Itunes, and IPods

They drive me fucking nuts because it is such terrible software functioning. IPods dont play wma's, or avi's, or mpeg2*, or divx. And ITunes drives me insane too. I'm trying to relabel some of my mp3s, and first of all, its slower than fuck. It can't keep up with my typing. It's such a fucking memory hog. Just having the software open with my ipod connected is using up over 50% of the CPU and 31 Megs of RAM.

I fuckin hate firefox too. Major memory whore, its at 85 Megs of RAM now and climbing. Of course I'm not doing anything and have 3 FF windows open, with 1 tab a piece. No fuckin excuse for this bullshit. I hate every browser I try (IE 6 was good until it became IE 7, dreading upgrading to Vista).

Anybody else feel this way? Or is this out of left field?

you seem pretty angry.....try running firefox with 3 tabs instead of three windows...saves alot of RAM and local memory....itunes is a very good music organizer though, best ive seen or used. Ipods are also very good IMO and itunes will generally convert music to their format if you add a different file type....so it works pretty well....but hey man your opinion is your opinion

Lets start with iPods!
I also hate the damn format! Hell! Who uses .mov videos?! Not even mac users use it! Fuck iPods and their shitty audio output! Zune or Creative Zen all the way!
And iTunes? Some iTunes installers came with viruses! No joke! There is other software for uploading your music though. And the only true great music organizer is Winamp!

And Apple? Its a joke! The G# processors are such POS that they needed help from Intel! Hell the new OSX is just unix!! Mac is dead! Cant even run 1/4 of the useful programs out there to start with! Stupid iSoftware crap.

And Firefox is great man! IE has always been having problems with me man. Just get more memory if its using too much man. Its cheap nowadays!

Amen to that. It works perfectly for music. I haven't upgraded in a while, but I wish they had a ranking system for your playlists. Sometimes I do get funky video play back, but I have VLC player for a backup.

And I really believe that the only reason there's this Mac surge is do solely to their current ad campaign. I asked this chick one time why she bought her MacBook, she replied, "I liked it's coloring, it looked cute." We have a bunch a retarded consumers out there, and I'm getting punished for it.

Know why i use mac? Cause it's simple... easy... and does everything i need without messing up or shutting down. Plus i dont geek out on crap... i'd rather go outside

but as far as media is concerned mac is the better comp... guess thats why you're trained on them at my film school

Oh yeah, I feel ya...Ipod's and Apple suck balls...I heard you can only download songs off itunes for Ipod and that costs money. Is that true? If so, Ipod sucks balls. I have an Archos. It's badass man, you can download songs or dvds or anything off of any website you want. You can even hook it up to your t.v. and download the t.v. shows right on it. It makes Ipod look like a ball-sucker. Get an Archos.

no you cant put anysong onto an ipod....doesnt have to be from itunes...soo all the illegal downloaders can load their ipod with illegal songs

hows this for asinine though. I was at work trying to add this network printer to one of my windows PC's. Couldn't find it while browsing the network, so I called IT to see why I wasn't finding it, and they told me I just had to know the IP Address for the printer and to get it off another computer. Since I have the only windows computer in that building, I had to use someone else's Mac. When I looked at the list of printers and I see a plus sign button and a minus sign button next to the list. Myself, who has used a Mac a handful of times in my life (made a kick ass cartoon with Adobe After Effects one time), am thinking to myself, "what the hell do these buttons do?" Thought it changed the default printer or something, I select my network printer and hit the minus sign. What happened? Gone, deleted the computer. Didn't even warn me. Christ Almighty, why not just have the button say "Add Printer" or "Remove Printer". Why the hell do they have these ambiguous symbols that could mean any number of things when they could make it clear and concise. I know this is stupid and has nothing to do with the OS itself, but I find stuff like this all the time on the mac and it baffles me that this is supposed to be the easy computer and its so like, I dunno, I'm not 3 years old, I can read words. Anyways, luckily I had already written down the IP address, and I guessed the "plus" button probably added a computer, although I wouldn't have been surprised at all if it didn't, but it did. And I found the printer with my computer too, so it ended happily.

That's a picture of the + and - buttons. Honestly, to me, it looks like its sorting the list of printers. + moves it up a notch, - moves it down. I didn't get why you'd want to order your printers in a certain way, but it was a mac, so I don't know. Oh yeah, and that tool tip that says, Click here to add printer wasn't there. And for those of you who will say just hold your mouse over it and it will give you a tool tip, look at how much real estate is there. They could easily have spelled it out and made it much easier for everyone to understand.

Yep, thats the other problem with mac I have. They seem to prefer cosmetics over usability.

Small things piss me off. Apple has, in its language selection options, American English. Fine. Does it have English English? Does it fuck!

Ipods are only as useful as the user, own the ipod dont let it own u! MP3's are just what u special ed people use to make u feel smarter.
