Anyone ever encountered this before?

This came straight out of a bud! Just like this! My spidey senses tell me someone is weighing down their buds with water. But the bud was dry! Hell if I know. Only seed in the bud

I've had that happen twice before - a single seed from a plant that went slightly hermie. That was with plants grown from feminized seeds.

Was your plant from feminized seed?

I'd throw the seed away. A seed from a hermie will have a very high chance of becoming a hermie itself.

Not sure. Was got from a new old hook up. Letting me test his shit.

Edit: it was dried out

Perhaps the seed fell out of you. It could be a Downtown Tillman seed, plant it and find out. If it's another you, you could send it to work in your stead, and have it run undesirable errands. Or you could put it on the internet to make useless threads while you relax ;)

A female plant that produces male flowers is not technically a hermaphrodite. A more accurate description would that it is a monoecious hermaphrodite (which is kind of like saying Jumbo Shrimp). A real hermaphrodite will have both an X and a Y chromosome and will produce both sets of flowers. You do not want to use seeds from a real hermaphrodite. A monoecious hermaphrodites will only have X chromosomes.

Feminized seeds are produced from monoecious hermaphrodites. Usually it is a female that is given a hormone that stimulates the plant's natural ability to produce male flowers. It is a survival mechanism and why cannabis exists today.

Using seeds from an accidental monoecious hermaphrodite is tricky. If the plant was easily stressed, then the seeds will produce females that are likely easily stressed, it depends on the mom too.

If someone that does not know what they are doing stresses a plant, too much or too little fert, high and inconsistent heat, fluctuating light cycles, bad medium... You can get seeds from that and they could be just fine if you do not make the same mistakes.

Let's do flushing now.

Wow. Thanks. Are you a plant scientist? If I ever get the chance, I want to go back to college and study plant science.

I am not a plant scientist, but I play one on the interwebs.
I became interested in feminized seeds when most people thought they were prone to hermaphroditism.
I bought some feminized seeds and had great success with them.

Then I did a few batches of my own feminized seeds. The only limitation is that the variation and phenotypes are limited.
If you do not breed, variation and phenotypes are not really important and can actually screw you over. Fem seeds are so great and not really more expensive. I hate raising a perfectly good plant 28-45 days only to find out it is male. (Once I build my flowering room, blah blah blah)

I need to build up my weed supply, I took a few months off growing after some shit that life sometimes deals you. Once I do that, I will go back to chucking pollen to make fem seeds.

I want to go back to college to bang chicks and get wasted with friends but that ship has sailed.

i try to take clones off eveything i run just incase it ends up being amazing.. and if it does, make fem seeds out of it to lock in the pheno

I do not have the room for a mother. If I did, I would still have the sativa pheno of the DJ Short Blueberry

Breeding a plant with itself will give you seeds that produce much less buds and are less vigorous.
You are correct about the pheno and clones.

I hope you never gave prints where they took your finger and pretty much your hand prints,,,,,nice camera,,I can see your lifeline

I have a crackhead close by to place his hand in any incriminating pictures. I'm good bro. Good point though.

My life line?? How long does he have?
