Anyone ever make false cabinet fronts?

I'm going to be growing in a smallish cabinet and I was thinking.. I wonder if it would look convincing if I took a bunch of boxes, like my Dremel box, my Ryobi grinder box, etc, and cut the fronts off about 1" deep and line the front with them.
The cabinet I have is a heavy duty plastic and it has 2 adjustable shelves inside. I plan on leaving them there anyway and using them for holding lights, scrubber, etc.

Does that make sense? Not sure how convincing it would be, but has anyone made any such thing that they'd like to show off?
Any suggestions?

Just a fleeting thought, not sure if I'll attempt it yet, but I thought if it was done very well it could look great

I used cardboard boxes and wrote on them.

In my case, I had a shelf high up, you need a small ladder to get to it anyway, but to make sure you can not see what is there, I cut the back side of cardboard boxes - so from the front and sides it looks like an ordinary stack of boxes, labeled 'stuff you are not interested in' I have lots of junk anyway, so it's not out of the ordinary.

That is how I hide my ventilation from my plastic grow closet up through the ceiling in my garage.

Your plastic cabinet, is it like a rubbermaid type storage cabinet? Where are you putting the false front? on the inside, or on the top? If the top, you might be able to get away with simple cardboard boxes.

If the inside, that is an interesting idea too... hmm...

The doors open, and I would like to put a false front there. I can keep the shelving, too, and possibly even allow some shelf room on the top, but I don't know if I'm even going to bother yet.. I don't want to waste too much room, either.
