Most of these folk get their syringes from the same few suppliers. The reason is legal, it is illegal to grow mushrooms in the U.S. and there is no other way to get the spores than to grow the mushrooms. Don't be fooled by folks who say that the clear syringes are just as good as the brown ones - that really isn't the case. The biggest problem you will have is contamination in the syringe, best to get into agar so you can evaluate syringes before ruining your substrate.

Id say just not to worry about it at this point. I'd check up on Sporeworks, there are very nice and reliable (at least when I ordered). You should also make an account at Shroomery, Shroomtalk, or Shroomology. I'd say Shroomology is the best and is 100% troll free. There is a section there for approved spore vendors and scammers, etc. A seasoned veteran from ST made that site, and he is doing an amazing job running it. Shroomery is probably the most populated though, so feel free to go anywhere you please.

I forget which site I got mine from I got a few strains though I got the B+,brazilain,golden teacher,pink buffalo and hanoi. the brazilain was my best strain I got a full canopy of big mushrooms and a nice deep blue bruising on them from picking. it was one of the cheaper companys in the US.

I've heard most of the companys put charcoal in them to make them darker. but when I made my own spore syringe I used a full print and it was nice and dark they where not brown though. the ones I bought where clear and they worked just fine but my homemade ones where faster colonizors.

Spores can decay and in so doing they decay the others around them, adding activated charcoal slows this process.
You should be happy with a good syringe of b+. A very reliable strain. And the high feels different from the other strains that I currently have going. Well at least it feels different for me. Good luck to you. And don't take this hobby anymore seriously than you need to. This way you wont leave yourself feeling disappointed. And yes. It feels great when you can munch on your own "soul fruit".

why not does pf tek not yield? ive seen pics of cakes with like 3-5 shrooms? not even an 1/8 per cake? I would like to munch my soul fruit
Pf tek can yield if you went with bigger cakes, and used other ingredients besides the standard brown rice flour. Check out Batcave and his thread in the H.S. section of this site.
P.S. : By soul fruit. I do mean mushrooms. Just so you know.

I would have to see a scientific paper that shows proof that charcoal, activated or not, delays decay in any organic material.

I'll wager this is all anecdotal hotrod. But a better word than decay would be reduced viability. I know that activated charcoal alters the effectiveness of certain hormones in growth medium but i am not sure that is applicable here.
