Has anyone ever made herbal tea to use on their plants as a source of nitrogen? I read somewhere that if you fill a bucket 3/4 of clover or stinging nettles and then fill the bucket with water and let brew for 5-10 days, stirring ocasionally. then dillute with water at 1:10 or 1:5. Says it is high in nitrogen.
Anyone ever try this? If so what kind of results did you get from watering your plants with this?

What kind of Clover do you mean? Stinging Nettles are a good pesticide if you have some trouble causing insects around. :]

I personally choose compost and beneficial insects. I don't think those techniques could hurt though!

I sometimes blend clover up in a blender with water to give the girls in Veg.

It is a great source of Nitrogen and they seem to agree.
