Anyone ever used "Sweet?"

Through the whole grow it has been warm, not soup warm, just comfortable. I haven't used a thermometer on it so I can only assume it was not a bad temp by the growth. Here's a pic from 2 days ago.

I have a timer that I set to run my air pump one hour on and one hour off.

I was told early on that the air pump gets hot and that hot air is transfered to the water? Not sure if that is true or not but it made sense at the time and I have stuck with it.

I was running it 24/7 for a while and having to constantly lower the pH, I was told that the rise was because of running the air 24/7. I don't know how accurate that is but when I started cycling it with the lights the pH became much more manageable. But I can juggle pH for a couple weeks if it keeps the res from becoming a vat of beer..lol

If the temps of the rez are above 70 degrees F then you run the chance of your rez becoming a "glowing soup of algae". and not the kind of stuff I would want on my ladies.
Keep the rez below 70 and all will be fine.

While I would like to keep my res below 70, sometimes it's not possible without the added use of water chillers = more power usage.

I use 115 gallon reservoir, quad port air pumps, full AN nutrient line, sensizym, compost tea, etc. I've never had algae problems or mold problems. I change out the reservoir every 10 days.

So while I agree that 70 degrees is a good temperature to shoot for, it's just not practical given summer temps.
