I was just about to water this morning when I thought why am I putting straight water on these plants that are getting 1500 parts per million on feeding days then going to almost straight water. It seems having such a wild fluctuation in the osmotic pressures is going to wildly swing water in and out of those root cells. I don't think nature drops pH adjusted reverse osmotically filtered water one day and then rains down nutrients 3 days later. I searched around in the forums but I didn't find anything specific to what I was contemplating which is:
To vary the amount of dissolved nutrients between a very light and a medium feeding. At least with people you would never give them IV solution of straight water or hypotonic solution and then follow it up with a hyper saline solution. You would fuck with their chemistry terribly.
What say ye God's of the Green? Any thoughts?
