Anyone feed with every watering?

I was just about to water this morning when I thought why am I putting straight water on these plants that are getting 1500 parts per million on feeding days then going to almost straight water. It seems having such a wild fluctuation in the osmotic pressures is going to wildly swing water in and out of those root cells. I don't think nature drops pH adjusted reverse osmotically filtered water one day and then rains down nutrients 3 days later. I searched around in the forums but I didn't find anything specific to what I was contemplating which is:
To vary the amount of dissolved nutrients between a very light and a medium feeding. At least with people you would never give them IV solution of straight water or hypotonic solution and then follow it up with a hyper saline solution. You would fuck with their chemistry terribly.
What say ye God's of the Green? Any thoughts?

You can't compare IV to root osmosis bro. IV = brute force anything in there. Root osmosis, well there's a doctorate of study behind that. But it's natural, selective (to an extent) and based on pressure gradients (osmotic pressure). Search osmosis at the roots.

You would have been better comparing drinking some fruit juice with drinking water. One is full of nutrients the other is not. Do you fuck yourself up when you do that?

So no, it's not going to fuck with your plant's chemistry. No doubts that if you IV'ed your plant, you could easily do catastrophic damage. But normal watering, hell no. All that you will do by watering with no nutes is not give the plant the food that it may require at the time. The plant is perfectly capable of taking care of itself, as long as you don't go doing something crazy like trying to hook an IV drip up to your plant or feed the roots something like meth :bigjoint:

Yep I've done it through bloom. Fed with Jacks Bloom Booster using their instructions for "feed every watering" It actually wasn't enough for em and I could have doubled it up if I wanted. But they were single plants in full 3x3 scrogs to themselves. Heavy producers and nute hogs.
But just read your plants and adjust accordingly your first go with them.

I grow in coco coir. My drip system (no drippers....just open tube) turns on for 1 to 3 minutes everyday when lights are on at 1.2 - 1.8 ec depending on the stage the plant is in. Everyday. No plain water. Hell no.

I grow in soil and only feed when I start to see it needs it.

When I first started growing, every feed had nutes, no wonder I used to burn the shit out of the.
When i said I feed every water, it is qualified by starting with nothing but water until I deem its time.

I filled a barrel with rain water and put in a seaweed extract and a little bit of some FF soil drench. I use it every watering and FF nutes on occasion.
