Hiya Peeps, I've been Trawling FleaBay looking into(not cheap) but Value for Money Fan/Temp Controllers..and found this one..The Thing is I've not really heard of this Brand? and £65 is a pretty good price, but if it's shit then may as well pay a little extra and get the SMSCOM one for about £85..being on a Mega Small Budget I try and save where I can..

(PRIMAIR/CLIMATE)TWO FAN HYDROPONIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL PRE-WIRED, RRP £119

NEW - £64.99 - Free PnP

primair thermostat controller.JPG

Hydroponic automatic temperature controller from Climate.

Controller gives precise temperature control in your grow room. The controller allows both supply and extract fans to be connected and will control them as one to give balanced supply and extract ventilation.

The desired temperature is set on the central dial and the control will select the required fan speed needed to maintain that temperature. As conditions inside and outside your grow room change the controller will automatically adjust fan speed to maintain your selected temperature. The control has a constant trickle facility to ensure a minimum level of ventilation is acheived.

This really is a fit and forget option taking the guesswork and crystal ball out of setting up.

The speed control is smooth and gives the precise airflow required to meet your requirements, it avoids the nuisance noise and temperature fluctuations caused by more Primairtive controls.

The controller is supplied pre-wired with a 1.5m supply lead, 1.5m dual socket output lead for your fans and a 2.5m temperature sensor lead for your grow room, all leads can be easily extended.

This is a great item when compared with other systems. It is cheaper, pre-wired for ease and offers better control. It has been designed, manufactured and tested in the UK specifically for the Hydroponics Industry.

Note the controller is rated at 4 amps which should be sufficient for two 315 dia fans.(???) Does the seller mean 2 x 12" Fans?

Peace

I would think as long as the fans are under the recommended amperage you would be ok I would not push 4 amps if thats max. If both fan cut on and off frequently may cause more amperage then 4 amps. I would stay around the 3 amp range if possible or get a bigger controller to handle 5 or 6 amps. From what i have heard on things like this is never exceed 75% load rating so 3 amps max is all I would run on it.

EDIT: Just don't want to Buy A controller and then realize It's NOT up to job..without checking I can't remember the Details of the Fan/Carbon Filter I bought..pretty sure it's 6" and shifts something like_550 m3(cfm)/hour

Will dig the Box out and Booklet that came with it.
