Yep.

I am a little chapped at them that I bought a TSW-2000, within a week later the price had dropped $100, and the light arrived partially damaged with stickers peeling off and looking shoddy.

Was going to buy more... I have HLG and QBs on the way now.
Yeah I’m pissed off at Safeway too, I bought a pound of ground beef 2 days ago for $5.17\lb and now it’s $5.05\lb

Ill be shopping elsewhere Now.

Great job at stringing together a dissimilar analogy ya dink. A better one would be I went to Safeway because their ground beef is normally $5/lb and has good reviews. I get there and it’s 7.50/lb. I buy some anyway, and it turns out to be partly rancid. I go back the next day and they have better quality for $5/lb and just shrug when I point it out. And then I overhear another customer complaining about their chicken being rancid and the manager tells them they need to buy a duck if they don’t want rancid meat.

Yeah, I’d be shopping elsewhere.

They jacked all their prices up during the first stages of the pandemic. Then the product arrived damaged. Then they dropped all the prices back down within a week later.

If you’re fine with that, enjoy licking boots, but I’ll spend my money on companies that represent themselves well.

I bought a TS1000 last december.
Today it stopped working.
All together.
It short circuited when i tried to plug it back, and made all power go down again.
After 2 tries it must fried all together cause now simply notyhing happens.
impossible to be all the leds at once, so it must be the voltage shit.
no?

I bought a TS1000 with my first 3x3 tent last summer. I've had that light going almost the entire time and its surprisingly doing well. It used to get pretty hot to the touch at 90-100% but I turned it down to about 75%. I used it for veg before I bought my HLGs and it worked well. I gave it to my gf for her veggie/house plant tent and its been on 24/7 since then.

I was lucky. I purchased a TS 600 off eBay..it was marketed as 99w, but the model I had was rated at 85w both in the manual (which had 99w crossed out with a biro pen no kidding, and had 85w scribbled beside it) and on the sticker, which had the same hand writing. I sent them an email thinking I had received a fake as the LED count was 225 vs 240 as well, and they stated that the EU model had 85w, and the US/au model has 99w. They are unsure how the 85w EU model ended up with an au power plug, so they sent me a 99w TS 600 at no extra cost, but didn't explain why the LED count was different and there was no IR even though there was on the slide.

As soon as I showed them the marketing flyer at 100w, and the manual and sticker at 85w they were very apologetic.

Apparently I'm not the only one that has received 85w, IR devoid TS models marketed as 100w, and they also changed the SP150 from 150w to 135w, didn't update the marketing and had a lot of complaints. I don't know why shorting 15w from their leds was considered an update, as many received a reply stating "they received a newer, updated model". I have heard rumours that traces were burning out on the TS 600 and SP 150 models and they decreased the current on the sly instead of recalling the product and beefing up the PCB ...the TS 600 also had and was marketed with IR, but that disappeared without mention as well at some stage, so it seems like they do have issues with quality control and communication.

That said, the prices were good, and they performed very well...I've seen a lot of happy customers as well, and would consider a TSL 2000 for my tent instead of running two separate boards simply because they sent me a free light when I called them out.

Another thing that redeemed some trust with me was how honest they were with their comparison claims...many 100w quantum boards marketed as TS 600 competitors are claiming to be a replacement for a 250w or 400w HPS, where the mars rep I spoke to said it would be a replacement for a 150w sodium, but with a better spectrum for full growth cycle. On top of that I got to keep the original 85 W TS 600 as returning it was never mentioned.

Wait, power went down to the whole house or just the light? If youre plugging something in and power is cutting, somethings not right.

I've only bought one mars hydro light, ts1000 and so far everything's been good. It's been about a year. I have noticed that sometimes when you lightly hit the dimmer box the light flickers.

So far it's not a big deal, but if definitely makes me wonder about quality control. Hopefully it doesnt short out or anything.

I think that is the driver, that whas i meant. anyone know if i can buy another driver to use with the lights? or that is not advisable?

Only thing I can say about the ts1000 model is that one corner of the driver seems to have popped open a bit.... very strange. I'm assuming the driver got really hot as it didnt have any direct air flow and was used as supplemental lighting, so the driver box must have expanded a bit.

You sell the guy junk then want more money to sell him more expensive junk. I’d tell you where you can stick that pos light. Just brutal.

Buy cheap China shit, get cheap China shit. Get what you pay for. These companies are full of deceit. Just look at how they name them, making newbies think they are getting way more wattage. You will love your HLG and if you have a problem I’ll bet they don’t ask for more money from you.

I just picked up a TS1000 about 3 weeks ago, been on 18 hours a day since.
2 days ago I disassembled the top pieces and drilled the mounting plate to attach it and some other lights to a jig
We'll see how long it lasts.
