Anyone have an idea what this is?

I notice pale green patches where it looks like chlorophyll is missing and near most patches is these black dots. I used my 60x loop and they look dark green and almost sap like.

It's isolated to one plant in a room of 6. Have no idea what it is. I searched for over an hour and couldn't find a single bug.

I'm thinking some sort of virus?

I hope...this sucks. Not sure how they got in

Thrips are so tiny they can carry in on clothes, especially if you don’t get changed before entering your space.

They can also make their way through any small gaps you may have under doors etc.

Spinosad is a great weapon against them if you’re not in flower.

Due to its short half life I tend to recommend hot shots no pest strips.

Use for a couple of hours with all fans off including extraction etc.

I had heard you can use spinosad on flowering plants. The half life is 2-16 days in sunlight. And it's just a bacteria, not a chemical

I guess it's back to being super anal about who goes into my room and showering with clean clothes going into the room...so pissed. Never wanted to deal with a bug outbreak and have to spray shit on plants.

You can use spinosad during flower yes.

However it imparts a taste that is not the greatest.

Trust me been there lol.

You sure it was the spinosad?

Lots of growers at over grow are recommending it.

Or should I just spot remove as I see them and hold out until harvest? By that time it'll be a full blown infestation I fear

Given the time (around Christmas and new year) I feel it will be weeks before they actually arrive.

By then this issue will be enormous

If you want to try it then go ahead.

Have you already got spinosad?

Have you smelled the bottle?

Let me say this.

I don’t spray my plants unless I really have to.

My tools of choice for pest control should I need it are the following.

H2o2
Spinosad
Hot shots no pest strip

I use the hot shot pest strip in small increments when required which isn’t very often as I keep my grows pretty clean and pest free.

Having used the spinosad before when I didn’t have any HOT SHOTS available I’m only telling you from experience that it imparts a flavour on the finished product.

If you can spray and not get any on your buds then go for it.

You must make contact with the thrips and be spinosad for it to work on them.

Well I don't WANT to use the spinosad. I just don't want it to spread to my veg room. I'd just let them do their thing as I don't care about a reduction in yield and they won't kill my crop. I hear they are vectors for disease though. Like tobacco mosaic virus.

And no I don't have the spinosad yet. What does it smell like and what was the taste left behind?

I'm gonna put the next batch on hold for a week so I can clean the room. Spray the next batch in veg with spinosad as a preventative and hopefully be rid of these.
