Anyone have experience with ac affinity cloudline T4 or T6

Got a T4 for my 3x3, while silent and really good quality, it cant pull through my carbon filter so I resorted back to my hurricane at the end of flower.

I would definitely go up a size for whatever you would think would work in your space.
What carbon filter are you running?

I don't know if you will find this helpful, but I had posted some info on my opinions of my T6 here and am not sure if I should just copy it, or link to it. Here is a link, I can always edit and copy the info if it is generally preferred. https://www.rollitup.org/t/suggestions-on-6-or-8-cloudline-for-4x8-tent.1021987/post-15630373

The gist is, in my opinion, it's features don't quite work for growing. If only it had:

- Min speed setting for on, with an option to ramp up to 10 at a set point. Right now Auto-Mode is off, then when the set point is reached it ramps up to a max speed until temp is back under set point at which time it shuts back off (I still want it running at night, but at a lower speed which it can't do). I don't like it bouncing on and off all day.

- Option to turn off Beep. Then I could use the alarm mode as my min/max mode, but right now it comes with a beeping.

My workaround/General use:

I use the "High Temp" and "High Humidity" alarm as my day night mode. I have "On" set to 7, and if it hits 26c, or 57% RH it ramps up to 10. This way at night it reverts to 7 after the humidity gets under control from the temperature drop when the lights turn off. I've learned to ignore the beeping.

The fans work extremely well and are extremely quiet. I just wouldnt get the temp controller with it. Instead use an inkbird and set the fan at max. The inkbird controllers have worked fantastically for me..unless you run CO2 in which case it would seem something more like a titan controls saturn 6 would be better. I know a few people that have had issues with the logic on their controllers but the fans work great.
I have used hundreds of their 120 mm fans in server/switch cabinets as well.

With something like an inkbird, aren't you loosing speed control? If you don't use their controller, then doesn't this just becomes a noise related decision?

If my thinking is right, and you aren't worried about noise, there are cheaper more powerful "dumb" fans you could hook up to an inkbird or titan control system for sure.

I do want to say, the fan is working, but to me, the features are misleading and only moderately useful in a grow room. In server rooms, or audio cabinets the features would work fine. I think they need to make a better, more dedicated "grow" controller rather then re-purposing their inventory.

I suppose the take away is, the fan is solid enough and quiet but the controls may or may not work for you. Consider if you would spend the money on this fan if it didn't have any fancy features and then you will likely be happy regardless.

You are right. I read too quickly. I use two of these fans currently but mine came just with the speed controller. I find an ideal speed then let the inkbird control its on off. You can find fans cheaper but these certainly are of great construction and exceedingly quiet

I’ve read about the controller issue on other forums.

One U.K. seller has said a revised controller is coming soon and he will replace them free of charge. The other U.K. seller has stopped selling them “as it’s easier to have his own manufactured”.

I imagine that means buying a load of units from Ali and putting his logo on them, but I could be wrong.

So much this!

I just want to add that the temperature sensor is just a thermocouple so you can control it if you want to just by applying a voltage to the pin.

Forgot to add, their customer service is damn good as well.
Second this. Mine broke almost at the 2y point - the controller not the fan, due to regular power failures. They don't do mail in exchanges for foreign sales so they had me make a video and sent a replacement with zero hassles.

If I did it again I would get the set speed controller because it was too hard to try to use the fan to regulate temperature so I just leave it on 80%
