anyone have experience with californian orange?

i like that it's a 50/50 with a fruity aroma, but i've never smoked it or grown it obviously.

I grew the Dutch Passion version of Cali O many years ago. It was my first grow, and it was very easy to grow and the high was quite good, imo. Not an over-powering strain, but a nice pleasant daytime smoke. The color and smell of the buds was orange, but I can't say that I actually tasted any orange when toked. Still, I'm not really picky about taste (I'm all about the medicinal effects)...overall it was a good choice for a first grow, and I plan to grow it again sometime in the future (outdoors this time, since I'm now living in Cali).

I've done some reading to try to figure out whose version of Cali O is the best...but haven't been able to draw any conclusions yet. If you want a feminized version, I can recommend the DP version (http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/dutch-passion-californian-orange-feminized/prod_289.html). If you're looking for regular seeds, the Homegrown Fantaseeds is probly a good choice. The description on the attitude site is exactly the same as the description for the DP version.

I've never grown it but I have smoked a lot of it, it's a good smoke...

tried 2 grows, both males , that's how it goes sometimes
but it does sound fine if you're looking for quality as opposed to power

Here's one outdoor in progress. Many years ago it was the first hydro strain I grew. This was before feminized or auto strains. I had a 6 planter hydro system, and ended up with 5 females. It's a wonderful euphoric, up energy, sociable high. Ive heard its a fav in Europe.
