You don't want to flower with a MH bulb it's too blue, you need an hps bulb for that.

a guy i know uses ONLY HORTILUX MH BLUE and HORTILUX SUPER BLUE to flower and he has the BEST MMJ IN CO that i have seen
and its not the spectrum but the photoperiod that makes plants flower right?

Hey, what if I know a guy who worked with a guy, who's sister had a "personal experience" with that bulb. LMAO!

I apologize. I know it was out of line, but it came to me and had to write it.

The only thing i know (which isnt much, non medicated) is that Mh = Veg and Hps = Flowering. What I have learned from studying for 2 years before testing bag seeds is that a plant can be vegged and flowered with the same bulb for instance, the Hps bulb can be used for both. It might take a tad bit longer to complete the cycle but it can be done. I would suggest looking into some of the more "skilled" growers and dropping one of them a message, I think it would produce better results. If that doesnt work I suggest giving it a test run and see what happens. It never beats to try. Any info given here on the boards I say is always good to follow if it holds and proves to be true. But I have found that what might work for one doesnt mean it will work for the next. Lot of factors to consider when we play the Most High (if you know what i mean)

To the original poster don't let someone tell you you can't flower with a MH because you can. You may* not produce as large a quantity of bud using a MH alone but it would be just fine for the entire grow.

-I would suggest swapping between HPS and MH though throughout flowering to get the full benefit of both spectrums. MH does not produce as many lumens as HPS, but MH bulbs provide UVB light which plays a big part in trichome production, and overall quality of the bud.

IMO Use a good 6500k fluorescent for seedlings/clones, MH for vegging, and a combination of MH and HPS for flowering. **You can try the SUPER BLUE BULB if you are using a 1000 watt ballast, I havn't used one but it looks amazing it host's a combination of HPS and MH in one bulb

As for the bulb in question EYE brand produces one of the highest lumen outputs available in HID lighting. You should be able to flower delicious and colerful buds. Go for it and don't hold back it's a great, quality product.
