Anyone interested in Oaksterdam classes???

HEllo Az RIU!!

I am looking into taking the full 4 day beginner/Advanced classes at oaksterdam..
The Price is 600.00 and hotels in the area are around 100 a night. So 1000 total approx not including food.

Im looking at taking them around thanksgiving time. If you have a car SUPER cuz i dont, and will just be busing it otherwise. Will share all expenses besides food and herb etc^^

lemme know.

why go to oaksterdam when you have RIU? waste of time and money imo. there is nothing that they can teach there that you can not learn on the internet you just have to do a little research and reading.

Thats what I'm saying. I could be a professor there with all the info, research and knowledge I have in hydroponic growing. Just seems like you will get there and be like " why the fuck did I do this for" If you know how to grow soil or hydro and have at least a couple harvests under your belt then you dont need to pay for stinking classes everything else you learn in growing is done by trial and error. If you want to get deep into growing then you should go to college and take botany that class will teach you everything.

if you actually go and read their curriculum synopsis you will notice there are a lot of legal topics. if you read further in depth you will realize that all the laws and regulations that they cover pertain to California only. so the only real useful info you could obtain there would pertain to the plant, which you can learn all online. if it is hard for you to learn in this manner, there are hydroponics classes and seminars being offered all over the valley.

LOL j/k...ya i know most of the info is online. Id pay just to have the hands on experience. I dont know anyone here in Tucson, being Exmilitary all i know is Air FOrce people and they cant grow. I was gonna go just to see some garden and leanr about hydro growing, thats really the only reason id go, dont give a shit about cali laws, i didnt know the only taught cali laws. Ya not knowing anyone here that also grows sucks, only people i know are scoundrels i meet through the Norml group here, and in the whole group of maybe 20 there are only 2-3 people id piss on if they were on fire. The rest are fake hippies trying to get rich.

My main interest was going there to learn prpper room set up, and to learn all i can about areo and hydro ponics. Im doing soil, but want to pump up the volume into areo asap.

sometimes i wish i was still in Vegas, i know LOTS of people. there.... sad living i a new city><

Where can i find those hydro classes etc....

There has to be cool mofos in Tucson.. I lived in AZ all my life and travel everywhere in AZ . There have to be some cultivators in Tucson especially by UofA , I know they have a Sea of Green hydroponics store in Tucson so if thats the case hang around there and ask and show them your MMJ card once you show them that you can start chatting it up about cannabis. I know if you were in Phoenix it would be easy breezy!

Sea of Green offers them and I know in Phoenix Home Grown Hydroponics offer them.

this is what i was going to say. also on another note, you should be cautious about who you tell that you are growing. just because you are now legal, does not mean that you are safe. be careful what specifics you discuss with strangers you never know who these people are or what they are capable of. as far as hands on learning goes, if you want to learn more about hydro then go and get a cheap dwc system and start growing. if you run into problems or have questions just ask on here and i am sure you will get many responses. this community is here because it is not always safe to meet people in person.

And that was another reason i was thinking of Oaksterdam. NO ONE knows im growing. Well my mother, and my GF. I buddy has an idea i MIGTH be, but i lol it off and tell him to hit the bong again.
I dont want ANYONE to know, the more that know the less safe i would feel. I haev PTSD form the military so im VERY paranoid anyways, and id not allow anyone into my grow room, not matter what.
I like sea of green but they are so over priced it make me sick. I just want the knowledge, and everyone down here in tucson is shady or out to make money, or an asshole. lol

Im from Oregon all soil growing up there, moved to phoenix last year . Just got the botanicare turbo garden 14 site so Im all new to the hydro but RIU never failed me before with its wealth of knowledge ; ) It is hard to meet people here though atleast for me anyways . Screw finding any decent bud on the street at the prices it goes for here I dont know how people smoke it if its any good LOL . PROP 203 FTW

damn i wish i could be in LA for 12 weeks lol. I was gonn ajust take the packed 4 day course. But since you liv ein LA that sprolly awesome. I will still go just so that i can say i went, also it will help in getting jobs with grow ops and dispensaries when the time come.

Nice I'm on a Botanicare 3' x 3' tray doing top feed for the first time..Let me know if you have any questions I'm up and running.

Yeah mines the ebb and flow , I have done lots of research and gathering supplies making sure Im ready for this before diving in head first . One thing is the water issue ... AZ water sucks ... and I have no RO system as of yet.
Anyone know of any that do the job for a decent price ? Ive looked at lots but im just not sure . Other than that Im just waiting for the seeds to come in . I got gallons of filtered water though till I figure this RO thing out lol .

I was at the water and ice store once a week filling up six- five gallon jugs. AZ water is horrible but you can find a water and ice store on every corner out here so just do that its only .30 cents a gallon and I have checked the PPM it's usually 50 PPM, Sparkletts comes in at 30 PPM. Just make sure you buy a R/O system made for hydroponics. Not one at home depot, I bought one at home depot and regret it now it only does 25 gallons a day. The grow stores are selling most of the 200 gallon a day r/o systems for about $190.00 - $300.00
