I got a gallon fermenting in my basement as we speak.Just wondering how it tastes like and if a half gallon of it would get me drunk. Since it only cost me about $2 to make it, it would be a success even if it gave me a buzz. I know alcohol aint no hallucinatory substance but though this would be the best section to post in.

i made homemade wine once.
i took some instructions from a friend of mine.
got a fermenting bucket, and added like 10lbs of sugar, some lightly blended grapes, (just enough to mess em up) a pinch of turbo 48 yeast, and water.
put a tube into a jar of water like my friend suggested.

and two months later when the jar stopped bubbling. i had my wine.
filtered it with some cheese cloth
It was super strong, and super sweet! almost tasted like grape jelly to me.
Like moonshine wine.
Half a glass would give a good buzz.

People make alcohol out of ketchup and fruit and sugar in prison, pretty much anything fermented the right way can get you drunk if you have enough of it, so yes, I would say it can get you drunk.

got sum sand plum wine fermenting right now tht will floor you also make brandy i prefer homemade over any shit you buy in the store !

Sugar + yeast + time = alcohol + carbon dioxide

people use that method for creating CO2 for their plants.

And creating booz in jail

and used by beringer and sam adams and every other beer and wine maker....so if you get drunk of theirs, you will drunk off yours

mmmmmmm brandy, I gotta try that out.The jug thats fermenting is starting to smell nice and uhhh winey.Guess it was stupid to ask if it gets you drunk but I will update when its done to tell ya guys how it tastes and how much i need to start falling over :-P

Well the gallon includes 1 can of welch's grape juice concentrate, 2 cups of sugar and the rest water. Then I started the yeast in warm water and some sugar and when it was all foamy I added it to the mixture in the gallon jug.Right now its bubbling like crazy and its starting to already smell like wine.

The yeast makes it into your reservoirs through the air and slimes everything up...

How homemade wine tastes depends on the grapes used and how much sugar.
Welch's is made from Conchord grapes, which in my mind does not make good wine, but some people like it.

I used to make wine with Welch's concord grape juice all the time when I wasn't old enough to legally consume alcohol. Just make sure you filter out the tannin/dead yeast that accumulates at the bottom :spew:.
