i believe 72 is way to low for veg. pretty sure thats a fact. and 55 degrees in any stage of indoor growing is super bad practice.72* is within the parameters of acceptable temperature range.
According to Greg Green
"You should aim for 75*F, but slightly warmer temps do help plants to grow a bit more quickly....
You do not want to go above 85*F, if you do you will only heat stress your plants and stunt growth....
During the 12 hours of darkness during Flower Phase the heat from lights is gone and temps can go as low as 55*F
Try not to allow temps to drop much lower than 55*....
....Below 30*F and you can expect serious plant damage...."
