The problem with dry sieve is, that the product is dry and there for can break down. Once broken down, it can pass through the screen. Same goes with dry ice.
Fresh Wet, frozen trim out of the freezer with lots and lots of ice, floats and will not break down!
It will not pick up water and there for will not sink and pass through the bag.

Using solvent 9 times out of 10, leaves you with it to burn.

Bubble doesn't do that.

Butane itself is dirty, simply because its distilled leaving small amounts of higher alkanes and such, the "mystery oil" not saying this is a big deal... butane is also highly lipophillic loving to extract harsh fats and waxes that give bho its characteristic look feel and smoke. Cbd and other "medicinal" compounds are extracted in lower ratios being more polar than thc.
The flavorful compounds alcohols etc, interestingly enough are highly soluble in another alcohol lol. So an iso or ethanol extract will have much higher amounts as well as extracting the full range of compounds.
Bho is cheap and gives the highest yield, it is by far not the best method unless your commercial trying to profit (dispensaries) winterizing will drop some of the heavier waxes but a large portion of lighter fats will remain. A good extract smells many times stronger than bud being that it is literally cannabis "essential oils" like any fragrance extraction.. unless you heat and vac it forever like many do.
Nothing wrong with sievedpproducts but with oil we can remove all impurities including the waxy coating of the trichrome, iwe etc will never truly equal hash oil made properly. Seeing as most don't know how I completely understand how someone could arrive at these conclusions

Sorry for the off topic question, but Qwizoking, how do you use a micron syringe for purifying qwiso and what size micron do you use? If you have a link or want to PM me I would appreciate it.

I haven't been able to empty my pm's since the site switched over..

Get a .2 micron syringe.. Typically they are single use, you can get reusable ones but its a pain to clean. Before you use it it must be filtered pretty good first, you can try tripling coffee filters. It will take a bit, a Buchner funnel really comes in handy (vac assisted) I do qwiso most of the time, letting a good portion evap but before saturation. Simply to lessen what you have to pull through.
Bho is a bit trickier as it evaps much quicker, but not too bad

Really all there is to it, huge improvement in quality. Especially the worse the starting material, like outdoor bud

My personal experience is i can get JUST as potent product (which I dab, or just smoke) from ICe water extractions

Anyone Else feel the Same? Different? want to hear everyone's thoughts here at RIU.

i actually havent done any dabs or oils here in pa i want to so bad but hard too here...so plan on going to denver in sep to visit sister and get some shatter and oils there i guess lol

So your a fan of Fresh Frozen Buds for IWE, any tips how to prepare my frozen product?
should i be worrying about chopping up buds, I hate use any grinder or food prossessor but maybe it doesnt matter as much when fresh? I dont know just make some AMAZING bubble hash with fresh buds only. feel like my yeilds were way off. FRESH 10 lbs! gave me 18 grams very potent ???

Ask Matt Rize or Just Search his thread ICE WAX (bubble hash) with Matt Rize probably can find most of your answer here.

Look up GUMBY hash, water extraction, no bags required.
Caveat- you only get one grade of hash going GUMBY.
It works great!
