Sarah Palin sickened me from the very beginning. She was given a hypothetical situation, within the context of her anti-choice beliefs, and her reply nearly made me keel over from the concentrated amount of fucking stupid that spurted from her empty skull.
Interveiwer: If a 15-year-old is raped by her father, you believe it should be illegal for her to get an abortion. Why?
A: I am pro-life and I am unapologetic about my position there on pro-life, and I understand good people on both sides of the abortion debate...I'm saying I would counsel this person to choose life despite the horrific circumstances they were in.
The mental health of the girl is not taken into question. The awful family dynamic that child is being born into is not considered. Sarah Palin simply regurgitates the strictest, blindest, forms of anti-choice there is available. There is plenty else that insites my vehnement dislike of her, but I feel that this scenario displays them pretty well.
If she's the first female who gets into the White House, I'll be down-right ashamed for the womens' movement. In my opinion, it's every politically-active females' responsibility to ensure that she does NOT.
