With only 2 weeks until harvest, I'm drawing up my next grow plans. I'm planning on running 6 regular seeds with the need for only 2-3 females. Air pruning is great and all, but it got me thinking about the PWT and beyond that the fabric pots seem to dry out really fast which isn't good for the Pro Mix BX I run. I suppose I could just run 3 gal plastic pots, but I figure the warrior pots are an improvement over basic pots as you get a ton of o2 to the parts that need it most, as well as raising the PWT. I know it has less volume, but honestly I could grow in 1 gal pots and still be fine with the short veg time I'm running. Also wouldn't warrior pots avoid the "umbrella effect?"
Do you have any experience with warrior pots? Fabric pots are featured extensively on here, but warrior pots are something I just happened to see a well known user with and it got me intrigued. What are the downsides? Will I run into root spiraling issues without the air pruning? Is this an improvement over the generic plastic pots or is it just a gimmick? Surely not as people have been growing in plastic pots for decades...
