The hospital I go to uses those stand up UVB booths for dermatology, I often fantasize I am a plant when I am standing in the booth, it's like 4000 watts of UVB all in a 3x3x7ft enclosed space. It even comes equipped with a intake and exhaust fan. too bad the machines cost about 200k.

I like the idea of the uvb cfl's because I can just replace my existing supplemental cfl's and be done with it. If I do this I will for sure be lab testing some buds closest to the light to get some actual proof if they actually increase cannabinoid levels.

I have noticed a difference since going to 1K HPS and 1K MH in the trich production. I wasn't aiming for UV light or anything other than closer to sunlight but it's something I noticed when I made the change.

Might be the added blue. MH really doesn't output much way down in the UV-b range. There's been a lot of discussion regarding blue and resin / trich production. Experienced growers on both sides of the argument. I'm not sure on the blue (no opinion), but I'm pretty sold on UV-b.

Huel, that makes perfect sense.
