Anyone Vegged for Only 3 Weeks?

Just wondering how drastic the harvest would be versus a 5 week veg.

Anyone care to comment?

if u have the room vedge it for 5 weeks i vedge mine for 2 weeks due to space

i take mine 5-6 weeks veg before i switch to a 12/12. if u want midget plants, go for broke and start your 12/12 @ 3 weeks

But don't you agree that technically you could flower 3-4 more plants vegging for only 3 weeks v/s 5 weeks? So in other words you'd have more main colas and shorter/smaller plants, giving more room in your grow area for more plants.

Just an idea.

i dont understand why u would try to force it to flower before it is ready. if you stress it too much, you are just begging for it to turn hermie. i personally dont think it is worth it, i could be wrong.

This guy starts flowering immediately after the clones have taken root.

mine vedge for two weeks are no were near midget plants i vedge them under a 600 watt mh 4 plants fill a little bigger than 4x4x7 tent when all growth is done under 12/12

Yikes, they must really enjoy that MH. Is your strain primarily indica or sativa? Do you top? And how tall are they when they are finished budding? I'm a little crammed for space, so I'm considering a SoG with budding right out of the gate since I'm tight on vertical space.

Thanks, very informative link. I only have experience with mh and hps though, don't know much about the cfl's. But I love how he flowers everything in 20oz bottles lol

Haha, I know... that thread is addicting, I read about 40 pages of it this morning. I'm going to be doing a similar setup, only for flowering I'll have a 120 watt LED with a few supplemental CFLs spread underneath and on the sides.

3 weeks is my typical veg - i get about 5 inches/5 nodes
plants finish under 2 1/2 feet(so far), yields from about 1 oz to 1 1/2 oz(if all goes well)
that's under 78w of cfl's, which are micro grows

its pre 98 bubba kush indica and yes i top due to the hieght of my light will try to get fresh pics u cant c the floor of the tent its just solid green

I vegg for 38 days and i LST them there bout 3ft in2nd week of flower. It depends how much room and plants u have

always glad to show the fruits of labor, though pic isn't the best
this was the best result i've had, 29 inches tall, and outside of grow chamber(nl#5)

no problem, that's why we on the site, to swap info
it was big, but pics can be tough to judge size - 2 gallon pot, no training at all - got 1.5 zips, but lost a bit of bud to mold(one nice bud was black rot inside)

That's awesome, do you ever have any trouble with plants going herm on you vegging 3 weeks? Or if you've vegged at 5 weeks and went to 3 did you notice more plants herming out on you?
